Hes been here multiple times, several that never really got reported during the summer.
Auburn is a free visit and maybe hes just looking for a little spending money. They are not really a threat outside of dropping 200k in the offering plate which I doubt happens this time, more like 150,000.
Georgia really is or has been the only real threat with him and that was very very minimal.
Like OCI said, he was calling the coaches after the game to check on Hunter. Thats all that we need to know right there. :good!:
Hutchinson (Kan.) wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, the nation's No. 1 junior college prospect, was in Auburn this weekend on an official visit.
"It was good. It was actually better than last time," he said. "I didn't expect it to be, but it was. It was definitely better than I expected."
"Everything did," he said. "Everything we did, all the places I went, all of the people were happy. People at the game knew me, wanted me to come to Auburn. Everybody felt like family there."
Before leaving the visit, Patterson spoke with both head coach Gene Chizik and lead recruiter/receivers coach Trooper Taylor.
"It was a good talk with Coach Chizik," Patterson said. "He was telling me how I could help the team out at receiver if I just come in and work, and I saw it for myself how I could help the team out during the game.
"Coach Troop, he's a good man and a good coach. I like him a lot. They are all family and you don't get that at a lot of places."
Georgia, Auburn, Nebraska, Texas Tech, Tennessee and others are all hoping to land the physical Patterson. He will visit Knoxville in December and says the Vols are very much near the top.
"I just like the program,"Patterson said. "Coach Hinshaw is a good man. He's down to earth. I like the campus and the facilities. The stadium is big and the program has a lot of tradition. It's a school I'm very interested in."
He also likes the atmosphere around the Tennessee program. That is one of the key components as Patterson tries to work toward a decision.
"I want a family atmosphere," Patterson said. "I have to feel comfortable at the school I choose. I want to play early, but I know I have to earn it. I'm going to try and bring my best and work hard. I know I can make a difference."
Yeah....how good would this sound?
"Yeah, the visit was terrible. The coaching staff is obviously lying through their teeth, I can't stand them. They even offered me money, but I ain't a cheater. Their campuses are ratty, the stadium looks like it's about to fall down. I would go there if I wanted to never do anything in life."
I mean...i'd love to hear it, but nobody with a decent head on their shoulders would say that.
Wasn't it McNeil that said he hated his Bama visit? I agree most kids repeat the standard lines after a visit, but it's funny when they are honest and say it sucked. As long as they're not talking about us. Then it's not funny.
