IMO, at WR, having other good/elite WR talent on the field at the same time is a good thing. It makes the DC pick their poison. They cannot afford to double team too many of the receivers at the same time which means someone is getting 1 vs 1 coverage. With Hunter out, Da'Rick is getting doubled all game long. And no other WRs are currently stepping up to take the pressure off some. Not to mention a QB like Bray behind center to find the WR in 1v1 coverage who can deliver the ball to him.

JC Shurburtt's answer to where he thinks Patterson will end up...

I know, Shurburtt is an idiot. Even after this prediction I still hate him.

We have Bagget, if he wants recognition for the next level, it will definitely help to work under this guy for 2 years, and have a legit pocket passer throwing the rock around.

if cordarelle is not interested in the vols as much as people have said on these boards, then why the hell would he call the staff after hunter went down to check on him? i've never heard of a big time recruit being considerate towards a player he has no affiliation with, unless he plans on getting to know him, hence be on the same team with him.

Visiting us on a gameday weekend. Visiting UGA on a weekend where kids are headed home after finals as well as no game. I think the atmosphere will be a bit in our advantage.

Wrong my Vol amigo. Dec 9th is our biggest recruiting weekend. We will have a complete list of prospects and may of our committs schedule their OV for Dec 9th. There's plenty going on that weekend. I'm sure our staff talked him into coming in that weekend.

Don't understand why UGA would schedule a huge weekend right after the SEC Championship. You will be coming off a major whooping at the hands of LSU or Bama.

Patterson is possibly the biggest get of this class. Offense could be special

He's the biggest on the offensive side of the ball. You can't double team Patterson, Hunter, and Rogers all at the same time. He adds to what is already a very good arsenal and makes it a whole lot better. When it comes to the biggest overall recruit to this class, im going with Autry.

Help me understand this Vol fans,

Justin Hunter, who will be a Junior next year, is a STUD and will be a starter for sure.

Da'Rick Rogers, who will also be a Junior next year, is looking like an all-SEC WR.

Arnett, who will be a Sophomore next year, looks like he will become a solid SEC WR.

Mr. Patterson will have 2 years to play 2 seasons ( I think that is correct, but I apologize if that's not the case), and you know he will be a favorite to become a starting WR next year. Do you guys think that your WR depth might become a concern for Mr. Patterson?

If he's an NFL football player, as many believe, including CP, then it just won't matter. I expect that he can start on the outside initially as the first year back from ACL surgery is iffy and Hunter is likely to need to build confidence back in his knee.

If it concerns him badly, he's best suited somewhere else and that's just how it is. We will be loaded at WR for several years to come. Croom is likely to be a bad man around here. Howard will be a bad man around here from a hybrid spot. Vincent Dallas will likely be stout and Arnett is already respectable.

He has a higher celing thatn Arnett. And we will have 3-4 WR's on field quite a bit with that personnel.

The pro scouts will find you no matter where you're hiding. But, come on. I don't understand the sales pitch that is better than the one from Tennessee.

The most reliable people you're going to find have said he is pretty much a done deal to UT. There is one reliable person saying otherwise. Getting misinformation happens, but this case is as convincing as I've ever seen. Hell, VOP goes to Auburn and knows several people there, and he is 100% certain, as of now, that he is NOT going to Auburn.
