There's a famous line in Hamlet that says, "Brevity is the soul of wit."

That's clearly lost on certain people on this site.

There is a not so famous saying from Othello that says, "To mourn a mischief that is past and gone, is the best way to draw new mischief on" That's clearly lost on the Kiffin lickers on this site.

Yeah...well...I quote the great Colonel Sanders...."I'm too drunk to taste this chicken"

Patterson's numbers through 8 games:

* 45 catches for 754 yards (16.8 YPC) & 12 TDs
* 10 carries for 182 yards (18.2 YPC) & 2 TDs
* 9 kick returns for 448 yards (49.8 YPR) & 3 TDs

Unbelieveable...this isn't 1A Tennessee football he's putting these numbers up against

When he gets here, we're gonna have the most dangerous receiving trio in Vol history. Bank on that shiz.

Why do you guys keep forgetting Croom? That kid is gonna be a superstar. If we get Howard also...That is just freakin rediculous. To go along with Arnett, Neal, Rivera and Downs and D young. And somebody said I was crazy when I said our O in 13 could be the most powerful UT has ever fielded.

Im not doubting Croom.

You're forgetting Lane, Cross, and Bowles. Also big boy Alden Hill. We'll have a lot of options that's for sure.

Trooper Taylor told me a few weeks ago that he thought he had a better shot at Diggs and DGB than Patterson. Tennessee leads by too much. End of story.

It has long been rumored that Diggs has been leaning to Florida since his visit in July to Friday Night Lights. However, with the Gators struggling and Auburn surprising many by staying in the Top 25 with wins over ranked opponents like Mississippi State and South Carolina as well as a head-to-head win over the Gators, the Tigers are on the rise. Many feel if Diggs ends up in the SEC, it will be in Gainesville or Auburn more so than in Columbia at South Carolina.

Hey look at that

I and everyone else here appreciate the Auburn related information you bring to the board. You appear to have access to inside info from Auburn similar to what OCI brings us from Tennessee so when we need inside info from Auburn's perspective we look to you and when we need inside info from the Tennessee staff we look to OCI.

But before you break your arm patting yourself on the back for the information above while denigrating my posts on the same subject I would humbly point out that your information correctly predicted that Patterson would not pick Auburn. At the same time you claimed a number of times that I was wrong, however I continue to believe my post was equally valid by both predicting that Patterson would not commit to Auburn and explaining logically the reasons why Tennessee led "by too much" for Auburn to overcome.

Your information is superior when it comes to Auburn's thinking and as I said above, it is very much appreciated but when it comes to everything else, your opinion is not inherently more valid than that of anyone else here.

Just my opinion, though -- obviously I speak for no one else here. I do not want to provoke any discord here, so let's agree to disagree and leave it at that.

I never said you were wrong about Patterson going to Tennessee over Auburn. I said your reasoning behind his decision was wrong. Patterson likes Auburn's pitch. He likes the idea of coming in next year and being "the guy" with Khiel Frazier at QB. Tennessee has simply out worked and out recruited Auburn.

My problem with you and your posts is that you view recruiting from a purely subjective view, as if these recruits exist in a bubble immune from influences beyond the basic reasons for why you think they will pick a certain school. That's not how recruiting works.

And please, do me the courtesy of not lecturing on the subject of "patting myself on the back". Pot, kettle, black. Let's leave it at that.
