Why not?

We have some young talent but he could easily step in and contribute right away. We'll be the favorite for the East next year and our team will have bigger expectations next year.

I think the winner of UGA/UT should win the East next year. Florida is going to be terrible, and USC is not as good as their record suggest.

I don't know why the expectations will be bigger. You're not winning the East next year Dawg. Hahahahaha

Not worried here. Last night solidified him being a Vol. He had a great visit and looked as if he wanted to take the field right then and there during the game. UGA has been making a strong push for Patterson, but Tennessee has lead this thing from the start. It will remain that way when he publicly commits to Tennessee in December.

You can't be serious. We are playing in Atlanta this year and facing a very tough West team. We have to be able to make it back to Atlanta and win in next year. Yes, there will be expectations.

We'll just have to wait and see about next year.

Is he still deciding in December or has it changed since he will not be an EE?

It would have been pretty embarrassing for UGA if they didnt get to Atlanta this year since they didn't have to play LSU, Bama or Arkansas. Easiest SEC schedule I've ever seen.

Georgia had an impressive turnaround from starting out 0-2, but they haven't beaten one noteworthy SEC team and it gave them a rather easy ride into the SEC championship game. Not to mention they lost to Boise in their own backyard. I know it wasn't Athens, but Atlanta is close enough. Not trying to take away from UGA, but you're dead wrong if you dont think you dodged a bullet with your SEC schedule.

Not our fault. The schedules are set up way ahead of time. It happens to everybody at some point. Remember that we dropped Louisville to play Boise.

Thats true. Next year will be a great match up between Tennessee and UGA, and it will ultimately determine who goes to the SEC championship imo. As long as our class closes like its shaping up to close then we're going to have a very talented team. Much more experienced, and upgraded in talent. If we stay healthy then watch out. We will be the Tennessee that teams once feared to play on Saturdays.

I agree with this. we will be pretty damn good next season...

Interesting that we might be going after a JUCO WR next year. WR is definitely a position where we won't need immediate contributors from the 2012 class (even though those are always good) and where we can afford to take some "projects"

But if we take a wr next year the ones that are already here it will make them step it up a few notches if they want to play.

What does his article on Rivals by Fortenberry say about the visit?

Honestly, not a whole lot. Describes the visit as "pretty good." He's not an outspoken guy and never gives much info in his interviews. Still plans on visiting UGA on Dec. 9 and then will make his decision.

Don't count out UGA at all in this one. Could go either way and they may be able to sell him on the fact he could step in and start day 1.
