Who wins?

Davis is a future NBA All-Star, but UF had Horford, Noah, Richard and a freshman Speights.

Kidd-Gilchrist vs Corey Brewer would be a great matchup.

Taurean Green would have his hands full with Teague (and vice versa) and Lamb/Humprhey are both deadly shooters, with a slight edge to Humphrey.

It would be a great game.

Talent alone would be pretty even. Id give the edge to UF mainly because the talent was older.

I agree with the above. a group of sophomore national title winning talents always beats the freshman title winning talent. I think the NCAA was a bit more stacked that year also. The SEC was at least.

UF started 4 juniors and a senior, and like '12 UK had the league's best 6th man, a senior, coming off the bench.

The Final Four was pretty stacked with NBA talent that year too. Ohio State (Conley, Cook and Oden), Georgetown (Hibbert and Jeff Green), UCLA (Afflalo, Collison, M'ba A Moute, and a freshman named Russell Westbrook) and UF (Horford, Noah, Brewer, Speights and Richard).

Yeah but regular season Florida had nothing on tournament Florida. Those guys were clicking really really well.

UF beat UK 6 straight between the SEC tourney final in March '05 and their first regular season meeting in February '08.

So, no.

Pretty sure UF took 7 straight from KY. I believe the first meeting in '08 was the game in Gainesville that UF won in OT. I was there.

I think a vote for UK is more of a vote for what's fresh on people's minds. The best team they had to play was an overachieving Kansas squad. I'd give '07 Ohio State a great shot at beating UK.

As objective as I am, I still hate Joakim Noah too much to pick his team, even if it were a "looking like a douche" contest. Therefore, I say who cares. :)

Upon further review, you are correct.

UF won the '05 season finale in Gainesville before beating UK again in the SEC tournament.
