'13 GA CB Shaq Wiggins (Transferring to UT)

I think the folks who expect him to come in and lock down one of the corner spots and boost the secondary are going to be disappointed. He wasn't good at UGA or UL. He'll provide another body at the position and only tie up a scholarship for one year...so that's good. But I don't see him having a huge impact.

I thought that too, until I actually tabled my uninformed opinion and looked at facts

He was/is good. He would be in rotation. I just don't think he is Day 1 lock starter no questions asked good like some think. staff has soft spot for Moseley. Martin and Osborne are very talented and confident

we always hear how talented martin is but hes been nothing short of awful on the field.

He's flashed all the abilities a CB needs at one time or another. He just hasn't shown himself to be consistent throughout the course of a season yet.

Hopefully he carries his good work from the spring through the summer and into the fall and finally becomes reliable. Hopefully. I'm rooting for him.

That wouldn't be known unless you were a big cocks fan...

The gamecock and the cockatiel were both racing to see who would get the final seat on the cock-a-boose.
Who got there first?
The gamecock because he was always game for anything while the cockatiel always waited til the traffic let up.
That's some cockeyed story for you.

He might not be Deion, but if he came here he would provide veteran leadership and basically would be giving 110% for his final season with likely NFL aspirations.

Definitely hope he comes here.

Congratulations? Not trying to piss in everyone's cornflakes here. I think he's a talented undersized DB, but I don't think he's quite the difference-maker some on here are projecting him to be. I know his stats and have watched him play at UGA and UL. My opinion is well informed, but it is still just my opinion. I would be happy to be wrong.

Don't know if you noticed but the bar here for a competent CB is very low lately.

Unfortunately we are in really bad shape at CB, so any addition like this would be welcome. They've done a horrible job in recent years with CB recruiting. Hopefully that changes with Warren now on staff. Justin Martin is probably the only guy on the entire roster who has high level talent there.

My hate for Muschamp will grow highly for him if he gets Wiggins to go there after one visit . But I think Warren and Kamara will help us bring him to rocky top .

I wouldn't sleep on Osborne just yet . He was a top 10 corner out of high school w/ a lot of upside .

Osbourne had the OSU offer and it was legit. Has good potential too.

Are you a fan of any of the corners we got last class? I think shamburger, labruzza, and bailey are all good players.

We have recruited safety well imo.
