Tifwiw, but my Father in law goes to all of Bells games, since he's from Ft Oglethorpe GA and all that side of the family went to Ridgeland HS. He sent my wife a FB message tonight that said the word around the area is that Bell was All Vol. and that he's the best player he has ever seen. Supposedly Bell touched the ball 5 times last game on offense, and scored 4 TD's
Again, all heresay, but its info atleast
It was a good experience. I wasnt cheering for anybody- I was neutral. I watched my position and paid attention to how the defensive coordinators would rotate and use the defensive backs, said Bell.
The visit marked Bells first trip to Knoxville this season and says he took note of the fan support in Neyland Stadium.
It was a good environment and good to get back (to Tennessee). The fans got there early and were loud. They honored the 1997 team and Coach Phillip Fulmer and Peyton Manning were there, so that was cool.
"I spoke to Coach [Derek] Dooley and the rest of the staff, and they just reiterated that they really need defensive backs," Bell said. "They made sure to let me know how important I am to the program and where they are trying to get to. The conversations were very normal."
"What stood out to me is how the fans support their players for a big ESPN night game," Bell said. "They had the No. 1 team in the nation in town in Alabama, and it was pretty exciting. Peyton Manning and Coach Phillip Fulmer were there, so that was pretty cool as well."
"It is still Ohio State, Alabama and Tennessee all even at the top, but anything can happen," Bell said. "I still stay in contact with other coaches too. The win/loss record this year does not have an affect on my decision. It is really about the depth chart, how close I am to the coaches and how well I communicate with them, and if it feels like home."
