So they were really really wanting a Vol offer...doesn't matter if they said they would commit on the spot. That would be the wrong way to go through the recruiting process.

Austin Sanders may disagree with you. Not everyone plays the recruiting game. Alot of kids know where they are going and commit upon getting that offer. With the way recruiting is now, waiting may cost you your spot.

I have no problem with a kid enjoying the recruiting process. I do think having friends and family flood message boards and the media asking why UT has not offered yet all along claiming your all VOL was a bit much. If the kid had no intentions of committing, he should not have been so bent out of shape he had not been offered yet. JMO

Also his high school team is in the middle of basketball season where he is also tearing it up averaging over 16 ppg.

My opinion is that people who wait to commit just want to enjoy the visits and all the benefits of being recruited or they are really trying to find that school they wont to go to.

very versatile kid, he put up good numbers on both sides of the ball especially on defense.

Anticipating any day now that he will commit, since he grew up a Vol fan and was just waiting for the coaches to offer

Post visit interview from Jr day yesterday at UA. Said he has no leaders and is still wide open.

"It definitely put Alabama up there in my opinion, but I am in no hurry to name favorites or commit or anything like that."

Tide Warrior did you guys get any commits at your Junior Day? Do you have any other Junior Days or is that your only one?

No commits and this was our 2nd one. I think we have something coming up in Mar, but most will be at the ADay game in April.

In regards to commits not this. I think the only ones we would have taken at this point are ones that are not ready to commit.

Yeah. Florida, Michigan, and Texas A&M all had big weekends.

I'm hoping UT can secure some big commitments on March 3rd.

watched Bell reel from last season...beast mode. Wish UF had room and a chance. Bell with Harris would be a nasty S duo.

I don't think you'll have to worry much HG. You're going to get a lot of help in the secondary with the '13 class. Sucks for us Vols.
