Not that I'm aware, but 6-8 kids often have tall parents.

Back to Davis, if the past is an indicator, Cuonzo hasn't used any officials on kids he wasn't ready to take. So, I'd say he'd take Davis if he offered to commit. Really interesting question would be would he cut ties with someone like JW3 or Landry. Surely it would be Landry. I know they wouldn't ditch Nichols or Hubbs.

Why cut ties at all?

The way id play it is this...ask Davis to keep it quiet for now, most kids understand that. You continue to push hard for Nichols hubbs and jw3, chances are you're gonna miss one...however, if all 3 want to come here, that's when you worry about it.

There's a few guys on the roster, who if those 3 committ won't see the floor and would be willing to transfer I'm sure.

Push hard for the top recruits and worry about sorting it all out later.

It will be interesting, however I think he's absolutely a take by Martin, and from what Davis has told me Tennessee has pushed hard lately so take that fwiw.

Maybe you take his committ ask him to keep it quiet, and see what jw3 and Nichols do from there.

How many spots do we have?

Quick hoops update and then we can proceed to get knee-deep in Florida week madness.

Talked with A.J. Davis this afternoon. Loved his trip and wouldn't be surprised in the least if he ends up here. He's going to visit Clemson next week and says he may possibly visit Georgia Tech after that and then be ready for a decision.

He didn't want to come out and name Tennessee as his firm leader but if I had to guess, I would say that the Vols are on top here and just need to get through a couple of his other visits without being knocked off their perch.

This would be a solid pick-up in a class that needs to add multiple bigs/forwards.

Fwiw also...

His twin sister is a stud 2013 recruit, and was a once UT committ. G Tech and Tennessee are the only 2 schools that the twins have in common. He told me they aren't necessarily a combo deal, but it is something they definitely talk about.

"If my handle gets a lot better then I'll start out working at the two or three, if I put on some weight this year and get stronger then I'll probably work some at the four. It just depends on my body and how I develop."

Sounds good.

Lost in State Semifinal today. Looked good scored 18 pts. He has a tendency to get lost at times.

Had quite a few double doubles this season, I believe.

If we stick with the four guard lineup he has the versatility to develop into the perfect 4 man in the system if he works hard. Handles the ball with a decent shot at 6'9

With him coming in and the fact that Reese and AJ are similar and add on the fact that the staff is looking to add another. I think Reese is the one on his way out. Just makes no sense to have two of the same exact player type in an already crowded front court

I agree. Can't figure out what Cuonzo's gonna do with all the similar sized/skill set/athletes he has on the roster. Most already don't contribute much.

Hes a freshman who missed almost half the year, did you really expect him to contribute a lot more this year??

Jordan McRae hardly played his freshman year. I can't remember but I'm sure people bashed him too.
