This. He is going after good players no matter where they are at. that's why I didn't get why people thought he was just offering the TN kids just to spite us.

Yeah dumb thought process for sure. When you recruit as such as elite leve you care less about where a kid comes from. He is one of the few truly elite recruiters in college football. He's right up there with the Saban's and Meyer's of the world.

U don't think that's a little premature? This is his 2nd year at USC.. And it's USC.. My grandma could recruit a top 10 class to USC!

Kiffin can pretty much get any player he wants, now they might be busts or he may not be able to develop them, but as far as just getting the players, Kiffin is elite.

No I dont think it is premature at all. I saw what the guy was about to do at Tennessee with not a whole lot of W's to sell. His second class at Tennessee was going to be #2 in the nation overall and absolutely sick. They would have had Ahmad Dixon, Nickell Robey, Chaz Green, Christian Jones among others...

He is as elite as they come as a recruiter.

This and he was working on Kyle Prater at WR. Even though he hasn't done anything he was a 5 star. I also think we would've pulled Corey Lemonier. Anybody that questions him as a recruiter is crazy.

Hes good, but shady

The NCAA found nothing on him while he was here. And I haven't even heard about anything while he's been at USC.

I think he and his staff are the best recruiters in the country. It's close with Saban, but Saban can sell his winning experience. Kiffin can't do that... Yet.

Kiffin is garbage. His one recruiting class here is an epic failure save 2-3 players. Comparing him to Saban is idiotic.

Because players leaving after a coaching change is so crazy... Please.

Yeah. Leaving because they were asked to leave, kicked out, our were over rated. Other than that he was awesome.

Kiffin was forced to take chances on borderline character and academic guys in his year UT. These are the guys who eventually washed out. They looked great on paper and everyone in America wanted them, so its not like he signed a bunch of scrubs who never panned out for lack of physical talent.

At USC, he doesn't have to take the kinds of risks he did at UT. He has a better current product to sell, and to be honest, his heart is more into it in LA than it was in Knoxville. He was never at UT for the long haul, and in retrospect, it showed. He is passionate about USC, and naturally, you are a more effective salesman when you really believe in what you are selling.

He will always bring in superb talent at USC because of the recruiting base, tradition, and appeal of the SoCal lifestyle. The risks he took on guys like NuKeese, Darren Myles, Janzen, etc will be lessened at USC.
