I'm all for physical CB play if you've got the right athlete for it and he may fit the bill, I just put no faith in evaluations unless I've seen something in a game, not highlight tapes. From the one person I know who's seen Bell in person, they think he'd be mayhem at the FS position.

That's just one mans opinion though so I was curious to hear arguments for him at CB. Regardless though, just get him in the fold ASAP.

Oh I think he would be a great FS as well. He's like Janzen to me, he could play either well.

Only reason I say this is because CBs blitz in this scheme and are involved in the run game. Plus whenever I read about this kid at a camp he does great in one on ones. I also read where he's around 5'10ish so if we could play him at CB it would allow us to get more size on the field.

A secondary of:

CB: Bonner
S: McNeil
S: Miles
CB: Bell

Would be very very physical and big. I wouldn't mind seeing that lineup one of these days.

If he sticks (and I have no reason to believe he won't) this is probably one of the biggest gets Dooley has gotten at UT. Miles is a stud.

Gotcha, makes sense from that perspective. Regardless of who's where, I'm really looking forward to seeing an aggressive, attacking defense. I just hope we have the talent to actually do it effectively.

Two other CBs to add to the mix, Tino Thomas and the very underrated Daniel Gray. Things are looking good for the Orange Baby!!!!

Glad we've got some good coaching at DB. When Tino learns to read and anticipate plays, instead of reacting and catching up, he'll be a ball hawking head hunter. He got skills.

How would that happen with TK2 and the Berry bros.?

He's saying if we get the berry boys and Kelly then how would that be the starting lineup. Which would be an amazing problem to have. Could you imagine those 7 guys in the rotation? Mcneil and bonner as srs. Miles and bell as jrs and the other three as sophs? Sec depth right there boys. Bama/ lsu depth at that.

Oh duh lol that went right over my head. But I don't see McNeil and Bonner getting beat out that easily, they've got elite talent as well.

I think Elliot is listed as an athlete...may project at RB or possibly LB, depending on how much more he grows and beefs up. He is listed at 6'0" and 200# right now, as an incoming junior.

New article up on Scout. Says he dropped from 210 to a muscular 195 over the summer and is in the best shape of his life. Also says he plans on taking two official visits this fall. Don't have a subscription so I don't know any more than that.
