'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

As of this morning Hubbs said he has no idea who DG is choosing. Said he's been very quiet with the media.

And this is why I'm getting tired of everyone calling him a Michigan lock.

Nobody has a clue where he is choosing. It's all just best guess. The reason why analysts feel he is going to Michigan isn't because Green hinted that he was, it's because he's known the Michigan staff longer than ours and Auburn. But then again, he's known Graham for 3 years and Hubbs has even said Green was basically locked up before Dooley got fired. His family even wants him here.

I'm not saying we're gonna land Green, but I don't think he's a lock to Michigan like so many are saying.

My phone jumps me to the end of the thread, so I asked if I was missing something. Apparently that's not ok, my apologies to you peope who were obviously offended by my question and needed to respond sarcastically.

Not being sarcastic. Just tired of posters jumping into a thread without taking time to see what the discussion is about.

Everybody is just gun shy because we havent really won any head to head battles for about 3 years and you can technically argue 4.....i know we have gotten prospects like tiny and CP but we loose well more than we get. Its going to take winning some more before people will have some faith

Just a handful of people going off the deep end will not qualify as a meltdown. There will be people who get tore up, though. Now if he had been playing us like a Gabe Wright I could see the meltdown mode in full force.

Can't find something else to debate this morning? LOL, really. So what number exactly constitutes a melt down? 10, 20, 30, 150? Should we wait for your announcement to declare VN meltdown? Is that in the user rules? Please let me know so I don't have to have a rediculous debate like this ever again.

This thread is providing a public service in the event of a UT meltdown. No need for name calling. A wee bit touchy today are we...

Nobody knows either way as far as posters go. I think it's 50/50, I'm not sayin he is going to choose us but people saying for sure mich truly don't know either. Even after the announcement it's not over to signing day. I do think that wherever he pledges to today will get him however, just pointing out that only Green and his family probably truly know.

All I was saying is I didn't think there would be a meltdown over Greens decision to go to UM when its pretty clear he isn't coming here. That is all.

But as it was said, I guess idiots will be idiots anyway.

Unfortunately I'm thinking Michigan, and here's why:

- Think the 'shock the word' comment was a play on Juwan Howard comment from his fab 5 days at Michigan.

- Michigan has been leading for awhile now, and photos like the one at the Army American game tells me is bonding with his soon to be new teammates.

- Freudian slips referencing Michigan as his team, coaches, teammates etc. in interviews.

- His Mom being willing to move wherever he goes to college. So distance is no longer a factor.

- Also at the Army American game he seemed to have his mind made up. While he may have weighed his options further, in the end I think he goes back to that choice.

I don't see this as a smokescreen. Just an excited 18 year old kid ready to make his choice and tipping his hand from time to time. Hopefully we can land Ford and not completely whiff on RBs this recruiting cycle or burn a scholly on a lesser talented player to fill a position.
