'13 VA RB Derrick Green (Michigan commit)

EXACTLY! I am a student at MBA btw...
but how dominant would Tennessee be with Hurd and Green?!?! Plus, with all the OL leaving we need to snag Bars and maybe that could get us to flip Alex Bars over, too! :dance2:

That would just be an incredible turn of events with respect to the future of our O-line

... but i don't see it happening.

Jack, i'm putting this solely on your shoulders... you better deliver Alex to Knoxville or.... well, just do it!:clapping:

Umm how so baby? Ive met Kirk Lazarus and you sir are NO Kirk Lazarus.

I guess people spurn you all the time and you stand there with open arms.
Can we get that in English, please? And hold the glue, bath salts and the paint. Thanks.

Huh? I never heard this. He was like 6' 225 coming out of HS.

From the article linked below:

"One of the things that I may have underestimated was the fact that Green was 260-270 lbs. early in high school and decided to shed the weight in order to play running back. I think losing that weight and increasing his agility may have been - or may be - a long process that wasn't completed by his junior year. "

I have seen other references to him being overweight. He showed up in Ann Arbor at 240. At 6-foot, he's already built like an NFL fullback, he doesn't have more room to grow. It could also be said that he's shown gritty work ethic to shed the 40-50 pounds, but i just don't know....

It isn't a single word. It's your usage of them. Babblings of a glue sniffer.

Nice. Really. Nicely done. You must have lettered on the debate team. Actually I don't think you understood the movie reference or what I was alluding to in my response. Carry on simpleton.

Green's kind of a one trick pony. He's big and fast, but he's not great at making cuts and he doesn't have much wiggle. He's great at running straight, though. JMO.

I hope we get him. Why, you ask. If we get Green, that's means we don't have to get our 3rd back in the 2014 class. Therefore opening up another spot (because we are looking for a 3rd). Not to mention hes a good back, who already has some S&C and D1 training under his belt

We are looking for a 3rd back because Paulk can't play in 14. Adding green wouldn't help with that.

Never was impressed with the Hoke hire, looks like a bunch of recruits arent either.
I think there QB is a tad on the over hyped side as well

Wow thanks for the response. I had no idea that was the case. Not that I think it's a bad thing if he can stay in shape now but I'd say it's definitely easier for him to put on bad weight.
