6'7" 180lbs

Recent Tennessee offer, says he will narrow his list to 5 after summer.

Sharpshooter has big day

Unranked in the class of 2014, three-star wing Riley Norris is making a strong push for the next Rivals150 from his class. Playing for a tough Team Thad squad, the Albertville (Ala.) High product had a big day as Team Thad fought off injury and fatigue to reach the quarterfinals.

A nearly 6-foot-7 wing, Norris is a tall shooter who can stretch any defense. He doesn't need a lot of time or space to unleash his accurate jumper from deep, and he plays the game with grit and effort. Norris doesn't have a ton of strength, but he's not afraid to mix it up in the lane and he is a good finisher in transition.

Over the past six months, Norris has emerged as a target for many high majors. He holds offers from several programs, including Alabama, Auburn, Arkansas, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Kansas State and Florida State.

Norris says that there's not a rush on his recruitment and that he'll look to narrow things down to around five teams after the summer.

Riley Norris, SF - Albertville, AL (2014) | Future150

Shows his 2011 and 2012 stats. Comparing him to some decent players too. If we added him with Devin Mitchell that is a dangerous firing quad. I love Michell's shot in the videos Youtube had on him.

We are definitely getting in on much more top 150 talent, I don't think there's a single offer out to a guy who not top 150 iirc.

Norris is a guy who has been compared to Gordon Hayward alot so far this AAU season fwiw.

I love to have him and Chizzoa. They are both blowing up.

I like Cornish, hoping Cofer won't be much longer. Hope Lyle is the prize of the class, and then another big and I'll be happy! But yea I wouldn't complain about norris or chiozza one bit.

I want to see film on Cornish. Cofer and Lyle would make me beyond happy. Then like you said other big and we will be good to go.

Norris or Mitchell are fine by me...deadly 3 point shooters.

It would be nice to have a few of those. Haas would be a big get. If we're going to stay with a 4 guard lineup then having a 7 footer guarding the basket and rebounding would be very nice.

Agree. We aren't in on a lot of true bigs, haas is really the only one. I do wonder if the staff is gonna look for an instant impact juco guy possibly instead, or i suppose the possibility stokes returns for his senior year is possible.

Not that it really matters but Stokes is 16 on Chad Ford ESPN big board for 2014.

I've always thought Stokes was a four year player. Let's see what happens. If he develops a jump shot and post game he's gone. You can't brute force people in the NBA unless you're Shaq size.

I agree. I. Just hope he's truly ready when he goes. I think most people see him in the NBA because he will go after the ball. And will get you offensive rebounds.

Yea I saw that, kind of completely shocked me, but happy for Jarnell. He's playing for USA again this year, I'm gonna be watching that closely. If he shows out there it may be philosophy issues here, or lack of spacing that held him down. He says he can shoot, I imagine he'll get an opportunity to showcase that some in USA games, and even the RTL games.

He loves the grizzlies, he could help himself a lot by following Randolph's path.

I'd be estatic if he develops and proves he can shoot. It will be great for us also.

Hopefully Randolph's career path and not repeat some of his life decisions. As I remember, Randolph went into full-bonehead mode for a short time in his personal life. Someone correct me if I'm mistaken.

You are ot mistaken sir. This was just from an article about Portland cops being racist.

"In case you've forgotten: Randolph’s Portland rap sheet includes a 2003 arrest for DUII after a police officer smelled marijuana in his car, and a 2006 drag-racing incident on Southwest Broadway at 3:15 am. As recently as last year, a man was beaten with a pool cue in Randolph's West Linn mansion in a drug deal gone wrong."
