This one’s likely over with 7 seconds left in the game, as it’s 28-23 Arizona State with the looming upset as ASU has the ball.

Don’t know that I’ve ever seen a team have a 4th and goal at the opponent’s 49 yard line though…that’s a first for me.

Arizona State tried to run down the clock on 4th down with no time left on the clock and throw it out of bounds, after which the fans rushed the field…

however the long review is suggesting that they might have done this too quickly, and BYU might actually have the ball at midfield with 1 second left.

Yes and that was the worst coaching ever by the ASU coach. He had better hope they win.

If BYU wins this on a 1 second Hail Mary after clearing the fans from the field, it will be maybe the craziest thing I’ve ever seen.

They didn't kneel he threw it away trying to burn the clock and it left 1sec. The play before that the qb ran backwards 30yds from 4yd line

Thanks, I corrected it. I didn’t get the update about what the play actually had been until later into the review.

What happened? I saw on tracker they had 2nd and goal at the 4 then lost 26 yards and 10 yards then two delay of games. Did they do all that on purpose trying to run out the clock?

They didn’t rule intentional grounding, but they probably should have. That QB was not out of the pocket.

Yes the qb ran backwards twice instead of just trying to score like every other normal team and end it

Yep. Pure stupidity.

That was the worst “plan” for running out the clock I’ve ever seeen. They had the ball at the 4 yard line and the QB intentionally lost 26 yards, then 10 more yard then a 5 yard penaly…and on 4th he got rid of the ball too soon and left a second on the clock…insane
