Would we take all 4 of these guys, including D. Lee to make sure we get Tabor? Lee has stated that UT would be a dream offer so that has to make you think these guys all think very highly of us especially since Payne is already on board.

We are in on so many DBs so it might be hard to justify a couple as takes.

Yesterday Daejuan Funderburk caused quite a stir on Twitter, saying that his top schools were Florida State, Tennessee, Rutgers and West Virginia and that he might commit on April 20, the day after visiting Tennessee. He has backed off those statements now because he needs to see more schools before narrowing his list down.

DB backs off top four

You think him saying he wanted to commit on his twitter and is now backpedaling is due to him trying to commit and the staff said not yet?

That would be my guess.

We have TK committed and we lead for Gaulden and McDowell. Not to mention the other safeties the coaching staff have us in on.

I think it is possible. I would definitely want to see what Gaulden and a couple others do before taking this guy.

I just see Gaulden as a CB. But yes, McDowell, Evan Berry, Reavis, Wesley Green... and more would be a take at safety before him

I thought Evan Berry would play corner. He's 5'11 175 with good speed. Has it been said that we're recruiting him at safety?

I hope we get CJ ReaVis, I believe he could make a nice LB. I wouldn't mind giving this guy. Chance, I don't know if I would take his commitment yet with all the DBs we are in play with. But he seems to be a good ball player and if it helps swing Tabor, and we roll out the no fly zone, I'm down with that bros.

Decommitted from Temple.

"I did decommit from Temple," the 6-foot-1, 188-pound Funderburk said. "I just wanted a better chance to go the NFL and play around better players. I think that exposure on a BCS team would really help me."

Funderburk had offers from Florida State, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Miami, Nebraska, Syracuse, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Marshall and Old Dominion among others, but he is now looking at a few new schools.

"Right now, I'm looking at Arizona, Wisconsin, Rutgers and Kentucky," he said. "I'll probably look at Maryland too."

I think this kid will ball out at WV or anywhere for that matter. If we didn't hit the lottery with Safety's this year (Kelly, Cortez, Gaulden), I think UT would have pursued him much more.

Best of luck DF
