14 FL CB Chris Lammons

I agree that Lammons committment does not seem that firm. I don't know about Cook. I thought he said he was going to visit Texas.

I do know this. For a couple of years I have wondered about the recruiting success of Ole Miss and Clemson. Ole Miss is now under investigation.

Go on... I'm listening. You know any details, AR?

He already visited Texas. Don't you remember? He came back feeling pretty "Meh" about it. Said it was an all right visit.

I don't get the hate for Florida, Alabama, and Georgia guys on here unless they're trolling hardcore like that guy that bumps recruits' threads from page 30 when they commit to Georgia.

Those three schools are doing okay right now, having their fans talking about mutual recruits means were on the way back, IMO.

Hearing them say things like "we didn't want him anyways" just makes it that much better IMO.

According to Lammons himself UT finished 2nd to the Gators not SC.

It doesn't change the fact he tried to commit to the Gamecocks the day before FNLs. If I were a recruit, I might say, sorry, but you had your chance, too. Even Vol Quest mods were saying for days he was going to commit to USC Monday. It doesn't matter who was runnerup in the end.

This is a quote said to Lammons from Cook:

Cook, in a group conversation with Lammons, Fort Lauderdale St. Thomas Aquinas defensive lineman Anthony Moten and Miami Central running back Joseph Yearby, said to Lammons: “South Carolina? [You’re going to get] no playing time.”

We pulled Lammons offer, he had no choice but to settle on Florida...

While I don't think we pulled his offer, I do think he settled for uf. Our coaches would not have allowed him to commit and still take visits IMO. If he wanted the spotlight along with his buddies who were committing, he had to pick uf. It may stick, it may not.

so none of yalls commits are taking any visits? if they do they lose their scholly?

Most have said their recruitment is over and the only future visit they will take is an OV to Tennessee. Powell apparently took a UOV to UM. A few days later he was no longer a commitment. Maybe it was his choice. Maybe after taking it, his decision was made for him.

i know brady hoke and a couple coaches have that rule if you take visits your a decommit

Pretty sure Texas does as well. I think Clem$on tried it, but not sure it worked out for them. The way it looks to me is if your not willing to shut down your recruitment, our staff won't take your commitment. You can take your visits, just do it before you try and commit. Then you have to hope there is room when your ready to pull the trigger.

As soon as Watson visited Auburn or wherever it was they stopped that rule Lol

I'm cool with them until they go into full condescending mode with their comments. I've got use to most of them and have even found common ground to co-exist with the TWs and UGA insiders of the world. I do think it makes the board cooler to have different fan bases and different takes as long as it doesn't become a board where they constantly keep putting their team over. It is a Tennessee board. That being said, everyone other than that UGA nimrod Dark 0's? or whatever the hell his name is, is cool by me. :hi:

It does matter because many believe his recruitment is far from over.

Not trying to be a homer here....but Cook is UF's lead recruiter among the recruits right now. He was all over Ermon Lane. He's taking visits (like TX & USC), but I've seen nothing at this point to think he isn't solid. Stranger things have happened, but I fully expect Cook to stay committed to UF.

I think anyone that takes trips is in danger of being flipped. I would really hate to lose Cook. I also hope that we keep Lammons (some reports say cwm is very high on him), but the more you think about it the more complicated the "trips vs no trips" question becomes. Last year I wondered why UF was letting Hearn take trips. The answer became apparent when he didn't make his grades for UF and he had to go elsewhere. But I could see a coach/recruit agreement like "I am committed as long as you don't take another CB." Coach: "Okay we don't intend to take another unless Adoree wants to come aboard." Recruit: "Okay but in that case I want to take some trips so that if he does I will have options." Coach: "Okay, fair enough."

Hey Jay what's the deal with Wilson's brother not having any offers? He just not that good? I figured he would at least have a few from schools hoping to package he and his brother.

Bump. Do any Gator fans out there know what the answer is here?
