I have ask this over and over about most recruits over the last 5 years do they ever lift weights .There has been just a handful in that time that has impressed me. Most guys I look at can barely bench more than they weigh and can not squat very much either. you would think that there would be some country strong guys or something . I did not play football after my freshmen year because it was a waste of time cause I do not like to loose and my freshmen year we lost at Webb 7-6 and lost 4 or 4 more by less than 10 and Gatlinburg Pitt beat us by 25 we won 3 games. I did not think that I was big enough to play in collage at 5"11 180 but last time I spent in weight room was beginning my senior year and I was benching 385 5 times squatting 700 coaches would not allow me to try more than that but I was leg pressing 1000 pounds and I walked around the weight room with 500 pounds for 5 minuets at a time stepping up on my tip toes. and I ran a 4.6 -4.7 40 and to see 6,5 265 pound guys benching 325 and squatting 425 is pitiful to me I could reach down and grab 300 pounds and lift it as far over my head as my arms could reach. Guys like big Dan Williams impressed me though.

I bet you could throw a football over the Smoky Mountains too, eh?

Ok, maybe this has been hit on already, but I skipped a lot of pages in the thread. I'm all for signing as many talented players as possible, but did anyone else notice the 2.8 GPA? Think he will make his grades in college to qualify?

That's not that low for a recruit.

So you are a quitter? Give up in 9th grade?
(Were you a motivational speaker for Coach Dooley at halftime?). :)

5'11", 180lbs, and you benched 385lbs, squatted 700lbs, and leg pressing 1,000lbs? Really? Obviously, your grammar is horrendous, and it's difficult to understand what you were trying to say. But, all of a sudden, your senior year, you walk into a weight room and just start throwing around outrageous amounts of weight, because, let me guess, you're country strong?

Lol. You're claiming to lift weight that would put you in record books for your weight class. That is just laughable and pathetic at the same time.

Guys this isn't real, this sounds like Mikey from my high school who sat by himself because the walls talked to him.

Is that you Ivan Drago?

You're joking right???

I'm pretty sure he is talking about Kilograms. 700 kilograms is around 320lbs and 1000 kilograms is around 450. Suddenly our confused "country strong" friend who has no idea what he is talking about is now looking more average. I still believe his actual stats were lower than he posted

Not to nitpick on my first post, but 1kg = 2.2 lbs. So, 1000kg would be 2200 lbs (also known as a metric tonne).

...and I used to walk 10 miles to school in the snow, barefoot and uphill both ways, while balancing my books on my head.

Whelp, got that one backwards lol. And to think I passed Calc 3. Anyway dont pay any attentiom to me. I guess I am going crazy

I squatted 700... IMO

never was big on squats. I was too busy dropping the bar on my teeth as a 130 lb freshman trying to bench 135 and had never benched before.
Think nosebusters for the tris, but accidental with more weight than you carry. When they called my mom, she passed out.
Still don't know how the bar got off of me, but I remember sitting up, spitting blood and yelling "thit! thit! my teef! my teef!"
