ND buddy of mine said that he would be a take but won't have the grades to get into ND. This kid is for real makes guys look dumb in the open field.

UPDATE: New 2014 offer
Tennessee offered slot wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie of Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage tonight. McKenzie is currently committed to Notre Dame, but grades are still a major question mark. West Virginia and Rutgers are other options. McKenzie is playing for Team Nitro in the Under Armour game tomorrow.

Spoke with him on the phone night, and he said he's unsure about his interest level in the Vols right now, but he maintained if he gets cleared to attend Notre Dame, he'll be Irish.

Re: New 2014 offer
A breakdown of communication seems to have occurred here. Isaiah McKenzie has piqued the Vols' interest but he does not have a committable offer from Tennessee at this time. ....Danny Parker Scout...

The VQ guys mentioned this kid the other day in one of their videos. Said something like, even though he's 5'8-5'9, he's one of the 1st guys you notice out on the field. Said he's very elusive and quick with the ball in his hands. Don't let his ranking fool you.

Yep. Fort said it would be hard to find someone at the UA practices faster or quicker than McKenzie. Fort said he is very explosive playing RB and WR. Hubbs compared him to Brandon Powell and Fort said Powell might be an inch taller but McKenzie is likely quicker. He also said he's not skinny at all but he only about 5'7"-5'8". They said plenty of other schools are trying to get back in with him and it will be interesting to see what UT does.

I think this kid and the Thompkins kid are mainly for a special teams upgrade

Why do you think that? You do realize that UT lost commitments of both Booth and Lauderdale. So why is it so hard to grasp the concept that we are still recruiting receivers? If you really think Butch is going to McKenzie and Thompkins with an offer to just play special teams....then you sir are crazy.

It seems between him and Thompkins, we are looking for another slot wr. If we have the space to EE Thompkins, I'd think he would be the prime target.

One of my favorite playmakers this cycle. UT, UF and Wisc all close to or have offered recently.

I'm guessing coaches are worried about his height and definitely his grades. I'm guessing he goes to Juco

Rivals profile says 3*. And if he's so awesome, why is his only SEC offer from Kentucky......and he's from Florida?

grades and size. Kid is legit playmaker who can flip the on KR even with ko rule. Remember guys these late in cycle arent just fillers...last yr none new of James Clark outside of Fla then late Dec he got UF FSU and tOSU calls and iirc UT came around. He was at 3* before. Number of offers arent always the tell of a player. Cam Sutton was a 3* w/o a Ga offer but he had UT Aub and UF.

Because he's tiny and I'm pretty sure a lot of schools evaluated him at RB. We need speed. He has speed. If there's a spot, want. JMO

Too small for WR or RB in the SEC. We've already tried recruiting guys like this: Pig Howard, David Oku, etc. They just don't pan out. We need SIZE at all positions!!

Really? Really? Is this how far we've fallen? He wouldn't start for most SEC teams. Tell me one big play he's made. Besides end arounds and screen passes that don't work, he's done nothing.

He was one of the only reasons outside North that we were able to move the ball this past season (@WR). Try selling crazy somewhere else, were all stocked up here.
