If he wants to be a Vol he will if he doesnt...it is what it is.

What I like is that we are even in the situation that we are in to start with. Kids want to play for CBJ and believe in him. That has been missing for a while. We have to get use to missing out on some players just because of the numbers game. This is a good thing. Two years ago we had to almost beg players to come. Sit back and enjoy. I am!

Looks like Booth was a Vol no matter what. Taking Powell is what lost us Lee. Only place I noticed Lee rated higher than Powell was on ESPN. Most other sites rate Lee as a WR and Powell as a RB or Athlete.

What's wrong with Powell being taken as a RB and Lee staying put as a slot receiver? Most of Powell's highlights show him running the ball anyways. There has to be a way to keep them both on board. Also, has it been confirmed that Lee is in fact gone?

It probably would have been wise for the staff to tell Lee that Powell was being taken as a RB. It may have delayed the fall out. When Booth committed, it probably would have happened anyway. Maybe the staff was just being honest with Powell and saw him more as a WR than RB guy. With Hurd and Paulk at RB going forward, I just don't see a lot of carries to go to anyone else. Both guys can catch the ball well and have power so they both can be 3 down backs vs situational players. Ideally they want a Juco back I think so they have the option to RS Paulk. IMO, at 5'9 200+ pounds, he will be ready to go as a FR.

"It's always good to have a good relationship with your future coach," Lee said. "Him and coach Butch (Jones), we are really strong and have a good relationship with each other. That's going to be the one I'm going to be with for four years."

Have we had a group of recruits do stuff like this before? They seem really close from everything I've been reading on here. They recruit well for the the program as well. I like seeing stuff like this. Helps turn a progr around faster.

"I feel like our relationship helped us today". Obviously the interview was done during his time on campus over the weekend.

Would like nothing more than to hear the coaches talked him off the ledge and he is all VOL.

The college football recruiting process is about as fickle as it's fans. But I like it...
