14' GA ATH Stanton Truitt

Truitt not getting a fourth star and Autry having one is a joke. No disrespect to Autry's game, but that's just pure politics. If Truitt was at a school like Norcross he would already have that fourth star.

I've said it before but Rivals is a joke after the 5 star guys. Certain guys getting 4 stars ahead of Truitt is just laughable.

The best rankings to look at is the 247 composite since it takes a average of the recruiting sites.

Rivals100 on Monday. Rivals250 on Tuesday. Rest of the four-stars on Wednesday. Full updated position rankings on Thursday, including new three stars.

What this tells me is that we will likely have the #2 class in the country by Friday (especially if Booth pulls the trigger this week).

247 is a joke with certain prospects too. When I asked them why Marlon Humphrey was ahead of Jabriel Peppers and Tabor their explanation was Peppers will get up to around 230lbs. And that he was better than Tabor. Hilarious Seeing that Tabor is much more experienced in man coverage and has much better ball skills.

That's why I like to look at the composite rankings on 247 since all the recruiting services like players different.

I've said from the get go I didn't really think Paulk would get bumped up until the rankings adjustment after this one because he will be the feature RB, yes he had a great year last year as the back up, but I don't think he has went to many or any camps either. He certainly seems to be worth that other star and IMO, is one heck of a back. Maybe committing already turned some scouts' attention elsewhere. Don't worry Vol fans, Paulk is a heck of a player.

Truitt is a baller and I don't care if be doesn't get bumped, he needs to be on this team. He will earn a bump during the season if he doesn't get one now too.

The way I see it, is if they get bumped, awesome. If not, oh well. Could be a good thing. No it won't make us look as good in the recruiting rankings, but that will be forgotten when March rolls around. If they are great players and they help us attain the ranking that really matters, then I don't care if they are 5* or 3*. I think it helps
Us more from a PR standpoint to have a underrated two star, than a overrated 5*. It
Gives the coaches more props and it tempers expectations. That being said, I am
Very glad that we are in on players that are highly respected and ranked. It does help the program in the short term. But I just trust that no matter what ranking they are, all the boys signing up are boys that will bleed orange and fit in Butch's system.

My favorite bump will be Hurd getting that 5th star. I see Paulk getting bumped for sure. Brown not getting the bump will also be ridiculous. He has an offer list as good as anyone in this cycle

You were right. :hi:

It's a pretty good assumption that if they should get a bump they won't. If they most likely shouldn't, they will.

See for instance: Brian Randolph stayed a 3*, Justin Coleman went to a 4*. Not a knock on Coleman, just saying, that typically, Rivals does nothing at all what we think they should, or what they actually should.

I'm really surprised this guy hasn't pulled the trigger by now. I've got some folks in that area that were telling me he was going to Knoxville over a month ago/early April.
