Coach Martinez on Durden: "Bryson comes from a great program in Eagles Landing Christian and his athleticism is something. Another all-around athlete. I love his versatility."

While he may prove to be a walk-on, I do think Bryson could very well be ready to play sooner(the position UT recruited him for) before Dews is. Bryson is going to be a CB/NB/Special Teamer. With them posting his name on the board, I'm not sure they can do that with a walk-on who is not on campus/enrolled yet. Robertson is on the wall so I would guess no BS for him and Durden on the wall makes me think they are giving him a scholarship. Not sure it really matter. If they were taking him as a PWO this year with plans to put him on ship next year and there was a ship left in this class, might as well make the kids day and tell him he is on scholarship from day 1.

Neither will ever play a legitimate down for the Vols.

CBJ said on the CBS sports show that they introduced a couple of the walk-ons to the Vol family who had signed their "deposits". Maybe that explains why Durdens name was on the wall and other walk-ons were not. Maybe they had not signed the "deposits" yet when the event was airing.

Well, good special teams players are always needed as well as great practice players. Folks like those are not known for playing regular downs. That being said, I hope Durden gets a schollie and dominates!

Last one for now. Wouldn't shock me to see this guy earn a scholarship at some point in the next few years.

Always pull for the walk-ons. It's all about the love of that Orange for them. Hope this kid gets a chance to knock some suckas out!
