'14 GA OL Orlando Brown (Signed with Oklahoma)

Something isn't adding up... that is a top 20 player nationally offer list.

#41 at his position? :ermm:
Most offers were when he was a sophomore. A lot are non-commutable offers. Still a good offer list of commitable offers I'm sure. 3 offers that were sure commitable were us, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

FWIW, Woody Wommack of Rivals said Brown will be a boom or bust kind of guy. He said Brown definitely won't play his freshman year.

Woody Wommack doesn't know who Don Mahoney is IMO. Teach Brown some footwork, quickness of the line, hand placement, and this kid could be Tiny 2.0.

The kid's ceiling and potential are way off the charts. Big time pickup. This is the kind of kid that you work his ass off in the summer (conditioning wise) and let him lose all that water weight, then in the winter you put him on a nutrition program.

Agree with all of this. He will lose some weight when he gets on campus and he seems as if he's working on it now. I think he could be a potential LT or a huge mauling RT (think DJ Fluker)

I also wonder if X is going to call into Basilio and explain how our O-line coach just can’t reel in the big fish.

From 4/12:

I wonder if “1st pick of the NFL Draft” woud be considered a recruiting win?

I usually don’t give a flip what happens over there. But that just chaffed me. Especially doubting Stripling.

Yeah I remember when he first brought that up...at the time, it could have been true as far as we knew...I suspected the opposite was true but time would tell was my outlook...I always felt both were good to great teachers especially Stripling but X rode this horse like it was gospel...I now feel our line coaches are going to be part of Big Orange lore!

as oddfuture said that offer list isn't accurate at all.. most of his offers don't exist anymore and were given his sophomore year. he had a bad jr season and didn't play in all of his games and a lot of teams quit recruiting him. he reminds me of chris little. orlando is a project, but with the number of olinemen ut is taking you guys can take a shot taking him and hoping for the best.

This is such an exciting start to the core of our offensive line. Brown and Thomas are both monsters. Hurd and Paulk might both get 1,500 yards a piece running behind these big boys. Man, it's great to be a Tennessee Vol!!! :loco:

He goes by Zeus. He's 6'8" 345 pounds and he freaking goes by Zeus. I need to know nothing else.

What a ***** move to wail on a guy that's already knocked out.
Yep...The same crowd that's entertained by this would just as easily lock him away in prison for involuntary manslaughter, if it resulted in a grave injury. What a hypocritical and fickle society we live in today.

Yeah, that's awesome seeing some guy's brain rattle inside his skull, which can easily cause traumatic brain injury. Yeah...."boom" it is.
