Orlando Brown, OT, Suwanee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge -- The 6-feet-7 1/2-inch, 343-pound Brown continues to make strides. In recent months, Brown has shed the extra weight and reshaped his body. He also plays lighter on his feet, has become increasingly more aggressive and did a nice job Saturday of using his reach and a strong punch. Smaller, faster ends still give him trouble at times, and he must continue to get quicker.
saw he was recruiting a bit for us?
I was talking to Orlando just now (three-star offensive tackle) Orlando Brown, Carter said Saturday after the Atlanta Nike Football Training Camp at Buford High School.
He speaks highly of them, so I guess Ill go up there.
Not exactly. All that was said was he's telling other recruits that UT is worth visiting. This is what Brown told Carter, which everyone is talking about:
Let's not blow this thing out of proportion, like good ol' VN typically does.
The rest of that article said Brown speaks very highly of UT as does the other ones trying to convince him about UT.
Still mad over the mythical cake scenario?First, "the rest of that article said Brown speaks very highly of UT," is not accurate. The quote I already posted is the only statement Brown made to Carter that was referenced in the article.
Second, just because a recruit speaks highly of a school, that school leads for said recruit? There are recruits every single year that "speak highly" of a school but end up committing somewhere else. For example, from last year, of course, Carl Lawson and Derrick Green. Both spoke highly of UT, and both had other recruits telling them about UT. At the end of the day, when we're talking about these high profile, top recruits, UT is just one of many. These kids have other recruits in their ear all the way until NSD about different schools.
Last, I'd take a more cautious approach into matters such as these. This way thinking and jumping to conclusion is exactly why VN has meltdowns often.

Just calm down and be happy we are in a good position for Orlando, whether we lead or not. 247sports has us top 3 with Arky and the Sooners.
Orlando Brown
He went a little bit further than just saying UT was worth visiting. You dont have 3 different guys hitting him up about UT just to say its worth a visit. Brown obviously really likes UT and would be surprised if we didnt lead and land him.
Incorrect on your part. Im looking right at the article sent to my email and Brown being very high on UT was word for word. You may want to go back and reread it.And I never said Brown said we were his leader. Stop saying crap just to say it.
Yea he is a little defensive today. Not sure he read the same article from govols247 that I am looking at again to make 100% sure because if he did he wouldnt be arguing with me about it and further embarrasing himself.
