Really stinks that the 12 team playoff doesn't start this year.
Next year is going to be tough to have a really good year IMO with all the (likely) losses but there are only 3 tough games next year. They could still sneak in at 9-3.
2025 is my make or break year for Heupel. Now I don't demand he get over the Saban/Kirby hump and make Atlanta. It took Kirby awhile to get over Saban and now there are 2 dynasty type schools. But Heupel needs to be extremely close and in Atlanta by 2026.

Year 4. Should be better. No excuses.

For all of those saying they are only giving coach and staff 2 more years, who do you put on your list to replace him with? I am really curious who YOU unhappy/much higher expectation people will be happy with?
This argument has never been put forth on here before. You are to be commended for your great depth and originality of thought, and your airtight thesis that is practically unassailable.

Can’t tell if your response was honest reply or missing blue font.

If it is Honest comment, thanks!

I really want someone to tell me who they want.

We have top offense, if defense can improve a little and we get depth, we will be a consistent challenger.

But I’m not an expert like others.

CJH is actually a young growing coach. Is he making mistakes yes, but I believe he is growing and changing.

Oh boy, it's the "Champions or Total Failure because I refuse to settle" crowd eh. Good luck with them. They are ever present expecting a college football team to alleviate personal shortcomings.

It’s hilarious to me that the AP still does a top 25 at this point in the season, their rankings are a joke to begin with, now it’s like they just want people to remember they still exist

And what is it that he has to do in 2 years because I am confused - it is possible that we could have two years in a row where we end up in the top 10 (... yes I think we can win the next two ...).

I realized that some did not like the hire to begin with and for the life of me I am not sure who else they want. Every name that has ever been thrown out here in every coaching search has basically tanked at the place they went to.

recruiting needs to be better in trenches, and at receiver. this year is good, could be great.

Speak for yourself. I’m the very best at what I do and make a very good living because of it.

We should be twelve in the CFP poll, just as we are in the coaches poll. The problem with the AP poll is that you have biased morons voting for us at the 21 spot. Check out who the idiots are today.

Wow, some of those votes are crazy. Like the dude who voted for UNC over us. I'm a UNC alum, but that's nuts! UNC lost to Virginia and Georgia Tech.

Also the moron voting Liberty above us. I wish we'd use the quant polls more. Human voters too often don't seem to grasp how much easier it is to win a lot of games against a cupcake schedule. Liberty's SOS is #132. That's below some I-AA teams. We'd be 9-0 against Liberty's schedule, too, and it's likely that they'd all be blowouts.

The AP and Coaches polls are irrelevant thing if a previous era. Nothing more than a circle jerk for media members to keep their names in the news.

The league is going to be made tougher by no divisions and by adding 2 teams that are on the rise right now. Before, we could hope for the East being "down" at times, and could back into the championship game. Now, its going to leave little room for error. The league is going to cannibalize itself in the sense of, there's gonna be a lot of REALLY good teams that have 2 conference losses or so.

Aside from Vandy, there really isn't a program that is undoubtedly bad.

Winning the SEC was already hard, but it's going to get even harder.
