'14 JUCO DT Davonte Lambert (Auburn Commit 12/18/13)

I have followed VolNation for a long time now, and I finally broke down and set up a profile. Anyways, this whole recruitment has me extremely nervous. My hope is that he is just having fun with the whole process by dropping hints like "Number 6" knowing all along that he is all Vol! Hopefully, he just wants his moment to be special.

Welcome!

As long as his sources are connected directly to lambert this is great news.

At this point I am not ready to get excited about any news coming from our staff since reportedly they may be getting lied to anyway

Dalton Santos, Otha Peters, and Gabe Wright beg to differ with you...GBO!

I think you have your players confused. Mincy is a starting corner and is 6th on the team in total tackles (54).

Yeah I thought he was a starter in every Auburn game I watched this year. Which makes it less likely a JUCO would take his number if that was the actual subject if Lambert's tweet.

Yes, he is a starter and played in every game this season. I'm not sure who you guys are mistaking him with...

I was wondering that myself. Mincy was a very good player for them. Surely they wouldn't run him off after this season. I figured the OP had Mincy confused with someone else.

You're correct on the stats...my mistake! He has graduated however.

Doesn't mean he's not going to be back next year though. He has 1 year of eligibility left and as a current starter he isn't going to randomly give up football. He is not good enough to realistically leave early for the NFL; so chances are that he will be back next year.

I agree. Off to graduate school and 1 more year of ball for Mr. Mincy.

:hi:

If a kid changes a commitment like he would be doing... then I doubt a change of numbers will be a real big deal. If he's deceiving coaches directly... I doubt sending out some misinformation about the number he'll be wearing would rustle his conscience.

Gosh the fun a recruit can have with volnation is comical. He could tweet "sweet potatoes" and we'd be arguing over which town had better restaurants for sweet potatoes.
