I agree - I was surprised how many times he rushed with his hand down instead of coming from a LB spot in the highlights

seems like a perfect fit for what we need on 3rd down - between him coming in, CM returning, and vereen progressing I am hopeful we can get to the passer and have a really good passing down defense

defensing the run concerns me but we have the chance to be pretty good against the pass

There will be a serious competition at the third LB spot. I expect Bates, Bryant, Weatherd, and JRM to compete.

It is also important to remember that the 3rd LB will generally only play 35-45% of the time. We will spend more time in nickel and I think AJ will continue to stay on the field.

I will not speculate what our coaches will do with all the new talent coming in. I think they will figure out what is best for the team.

It depends how he develops his coverage skills this off-season. Now AJ improve his coverage skills a lot towards the end of the season and will continue to do so. That's why he came back.

Update: "In talking to several people close to Chris and the Volunteer program, there has been a change of plans. From what we were told, Jancek will now meet Weatherd halfway, which is said to be in Arkansas. They will meet at a Dairy Queen on mile marker 41."
