'14 TN ATH Vic Wharton (UT Signee 2/5/14)

It's getting very stupid. This is the time of year to watch morons overreact, and people make really bad decisions.

It's a different version of Jerry Springer. People watch to see the fighting and drama.
My popcorn's getting cold...

I will find out by Monday if Vic got a GS. I will let you know unless it is announced before hand. How many recruits are we going to sign 37?? O what only 25, GS and BS for quite a few people. If you don't know what a Blue shirt is you can google it.

Pretty sure this is not true.

During the recruiting process, prospective student-athletes go on an official visit to the school they are being recruited by. An official visit is a prospective student-athlete’s visit to a college campus paid for by the college. The college can pay for transportation to and from the college, room and meals (three per day) while visiting and reasonable entertainment expenses, including three complimentary admissions to a home athletics contest. NCAA recruiting bylaws limit the number of official visits a recruit may take to five.[2] The NCAA has imposed stringent rules limiting the manner in which competing university-firms may bid for the newest crop of prospective student-athletes. Such rules limit the number of visits, which a student-athlete may make to a given campus, the amount of his expenses that may be covered by the university-firm, and so forth.[4]

I assume all of Vic's visits were official. She was confused.

I don't understand your point. We know the university can pay for an official visit, and a recruit is only allowed one OV per university with a maximum of 5 total OVs. A university cannot pay for anything when a recruit takes an unofficial visit.

See my post above. A recruit can only take 1 OV to each university. Your friend is confused about what is being paid for. His expenses this weekend are completely covered by TN, because he's on an OV this weekend. All other visits he has taken to TN have been unofficial visits.

auburn says your very wrong. The school can pay for everything on an UOV. Strippers, drugs, food, limos, hookers, shopping sprees, and cash for church renovations. The key is the said recruit has to "not know about it".

Signed,

Cams Daddy

I don't claim to know. Thanks for info. I am just giving what I hear and know from the best of my knowledge.

Haha maybe Vic's girlfriend knew but not him. I bet she drive him up there.

I just don't see any way that Vic would accept being a grayshirt. He's confident in his ability to be an immediate contributor this fall, at least in the return game.

Only chance in hell that he gs is if we pull jackson and maybe another one and keep everyone else. But it still probably would not happen, vic is the first brick.

I don't really pay much attention on who post unless it is THE FREAK. I just enjoy the light conversations of people that bleed orange like myself. Not here to bash anyone nor do I consider myself an insider. I do know that Vic will officially know today if he is going to a GS. He does not think so, but is not 100% certain until they make it official today.

This is a big deal. If they GS him he would look at ND and some other schools. I am not expanding past that. Book it.
