'14 TN DE Jashon Robertson (UT Signee 2/5/14)

He meant the division 2 league in Tennessee. It's comprised of top private schools that are starting to produce a lot of d-1 talent

My guess as well...Division II-AA includes Brentwood Academy, Ensworth and MBA in Nashville. There may be others in the Nashville area (Ryan comes to mind...BGA, FRA are all DII-A schools). I know MUS is a DII-AA school and I think Briarcrest, Baylor and McCallie are as well. Not sure about others.

Barnett and Robertson--glad to see the D-II recruiting getting picked up.

Not to mention that MBA and BA haven't been kind to TN in past. Huge that Butch is knocking those doors down in year 1. Now if he could just those heartbroken Franklin lovers at Ensworth to get with the program.

I hope Austin Sanders is able to build strength to anchor that left side in the future. His arms looks as long as Tiny's.. no idea about the ability, but he looks like a left tackle.

Has the starting OL been discussed ad infinitum already? I'm curious who will be starting first game.

I'm sure you realize that's a long, long ways off. Considering we will have an entirely new OL it will probably be a battle throughout the spring and fall until the first game.

I think getting Sawyers would go a long way in helping the Ensworth situation. Having him on campus with Sheffield and McGraw only being a yr behind could do wonders.

Edit: Didn't realize Rico committed to UGA. Still a long ways till Feb 2015.

On 104.5:

Learned you can't choose a school for a coach. Love UT since he was little, but previous staff left a bad taste in his mouth. Jalen and Josh were recruiting him hard. Will start on the DL but open to play anywhere. Also friends with Derek Barnett. State title winner in wrestling last year.

A shorter than normal DT with great leverage, strength and an ability to shed blocks with ease...as a Bengals fan his senior tape very much reminded me of this guy: pic of Geno Atkins

minus the first two explosion steps which are essential for a disruptive DT. Jay Ratliff used to be a bit small as well with the incredible explosion for the Cowboys.

If Jashon can develop that, then great, but without it, he should play Guard.

List I found:

Ensworth
Baylor
Christian Brothers
Brentwood
Montgomery Bell
Briarcrest Christian
Memphis University
St.Benedict at Auburndale
Battle Ground
McCallie
Father Ryan
Pope John Paul II

Is that the complete list?:dunno:

Barnett (Brentwood Academy) and Robertson (MBA) play in Tennessee Division II high school football league. Very good league and the Vols have not had a lot of success recruiting there the past few years.

One word...Dooley (drops the mic).

Someone with a 247 sub wanna let us know about the text that Robertson sent the Vandy coaches

"Head Coach Derek Mason reached out to Jashon Robertson by phone last night and wanted to meet with him in person. Jay sent Coach Mason the following text after the conversation.
"Coach appreciate you reaching out to me and everything, but UT is the place where I want to be. It wasn't a spontaneous decision. I've always enjoyed UT. With that being said, I'm going to remain loyal to my commitment. There is no need for us to meet tomorrow. Thank you for your time."
