Time is running out with the QB clearly running out of bounds with no attempt of making a play down the field. DB runs over and pushes him after he is out of bounds. Clearly a stupid decision and you would hope Coach Jones would shy away from players making stupid plays as we have seen that for the last 10 years in Knoxville. I don't know DB but attitude will need to be addressed to be successful in College.

I need to see a replay to determine whether the ball actually crossed the plane of the sideline before the hit. I think he was short.

Tell a consensus top 250 player in the country "no thanks" because he pushed a player after he'd gone out of bounds. Solid reasoning.

Haynesworth stepped on a guys head. This was nothing compared to that. He still made big plays. And not only was he later a "take" for the redskins, but they signed him to a $100 million contract. Not condoning dirty play, but it happens. We've all hit somebody late... Well except the non-athlete Volnation VFLs

That old Haynesworth was pretty good while he was here.

I got thrown out of a football game once and a basketball game. Another guy on our team got thrown out when he swung at a guy on the ground after the guy swung and hit him in the nads. Stupid.....yes..........both did well enough later in life with not ever being charged with anything other than speeding tickets.

Highschool kids get over emotional at times. But, adults on VN..............NEVER

I think what bothers me most about the pansies is they are all torn up because he "pushed" the qb. He didnt do a figure four on the kids knee, jab his eyes out, or try to remove his nuts..He pushed him.

Most aren't making near as big a deal of it as you seem to think.

Man he just barely pushed the guy it was really his momentum that made it look bad. Not a big deal playing through the whistle. You would have thought he Tomb Stoned the guy on a steal chair the way people were reacting.

I think I heard this correctly - if not someone please correct me

Against BA last year Ensworth scored on a rollout pass with a few seconds remaining already up 12 at the time instead of just kneeling on the ball. Maybe Derek remembered that from last year and was still a little PO'd.

Interesting. Wouldn't surprise me. If the QB took a knee,
he wouldn't have been hit.

Bottom line, I'll coach the penalty part out of Barnett and love the competitive fire in his belly. We could use DT's
who play through the whistle.
