"Coach Strip and Coach Thig were at BA today and took DB and his mom to dinner tonight. Strip was supposed to go to Madison but Butch redirected to Nashville. It's all good. I found out tonight that Hugh Freeze has been by the school as well as Clemson and others. No one has stopped recruiting Derek. That said, he will be in Knoxville this weekend with Vic, Rashaan, TK, Moseley and other commits for his official. I absolutely love these guys that I've met and their families. Really good people! There's more funny stuff that I will share some day but things are good. Stress over some other guys for awhile."

FranklinVol has been spot on with Derek's recruitment. I think we are good here.

Interestingly enough Hendrix isn't the only lineman Missouri is coming after as Derek Barnett had an in-home visit with Missouri coaches earlier this week. That was followed up by a Thigpen and Stripling visit with Barnett. Barnett will make his way to Knoxville as one of several visitors and the goal will be to have him shut it down after the visit. There's no doubt Missouri's aim is to have Barnett visit that last weekend and we will all be waiting to see what he said after his visit. -VQ

LWS said last night in Mouhon's thread that Barnett would visit Mizzou this weekend. Either he was wrong, or Mizzou suspected we were sending Barnett for his visit this weekend to stay in Hendrix's ear and pushed his visit to next weekend. If this is the case, then I'm guessing Derek shuts it down after this weekend and cancels his OV to Mizzou next week.

He admitted he got confused and he wasn't going this weekend.

He said he expected the staff to convince him not to go.

He is just speculating like the rest of us

Yeah, I saw that when I got caught up with all the threads. I guess the next time I should finish catching up everywhere before I post.

Gotta get used to it. Mizzou is a pretty good program and Pinkel is a good coach. Being in the SEC now they'll make as much headway into West and Middle TN as they can. I think the recruiting battles have just begun with them.

Just have to start beating them on the field and the recruiting battles will be very short lived. While mizzou is a decent school and program, they have nothing on Tennessee when we are winning. CBJ and company get us back winning and other schools plucking talent out of TN will stop.
