You can not submit your own video to hudl that we know of. In our situation, it is for coaches only and all video is at game speed. Yes the video segues in sync to some of the music but the speed of the video is never adjusted. Ever. Go watch the hudl game video for yourself here to compare: Hunter Boyd - Highlight Videos, Schedule & Roster - Hudl Some of you guys might better spend your time watching the Zapruder film and look for the guy on the grassy knoll, or see if the flag waves on the moon landing film. Goodness. This young man is an athlete with great closing speed, loves the game, and loves to hit. That's all there is to it.

I will have to check but I do not think that parents and players can upload video. You only get so many hours of storage depending on the HUDL package purchased. I do not see a way to speed up film either BUT I do not do the editing or highlights. I am looking at our HUDL account at the moment.

Well it's all really inconsequential because he won't be playing on scholarship at UT

Nobody said he would be, but a lot can change during a season. This topic started off as how he was picking up interest and that he had an awesome Junior season. Coaches have people that read message boards about players and this is another way to get a player exposed. I'm guessing that you are not a Head Coach, Asst. Coach, Head Recruiter, Towel Boy, anything. If you are, then I respect your opinion.

Basically, what I'm pointing out is that this is an opinionated board and that your statement is inconsequential.

Thank you and Go Vols!!

Good luck to Hunter, hope he balls out and goes anywhere he wants. Most of all I hope he makes his parents and Tennessee proud.

Thanks Tim! I can assure you that if hard work & determination are the markers for making folks proud...he's got it covered. A real passion for the game.

I like his highlight especially the way he takes on an iso. He takes some bad steps in that video though and almost gets himself out of position because of it but makes up for it with his athleticism. Would really help him if he worked on that. Good luck to him wherever he ends up.

Thanks Phil! Yes, the camps attended have addressed that and looks to be corrected---should be a punishing Senior season for some competing teams. :machgun:

He just finished his summer camps and got a lot of attention, including his latest linebacker coach; a nearly 15 year NFL starting linebacker vet with over 800 pro career tackles, 3 Super Bowls, and 2 SB rings who singled Hunter out after working with him for 3 days and started making phone calls to college coaches he felt Hunter would be a great addition to. So...this veteran's opinion, who has actually worked with him...or Tenn Golfer's opinion. Now THAT's no contest.

Good luck to the kid...here's hoping he gets what he wants. Sounds like a hard worker---that's hard to find in a lot of people even the super talented kids who don't "have to" work that hard....

Maybe Tennessee Golfer has 801 career pro tackles, 4 super bowls, and he won the thing everytime he had a chance. See how I came up with a story as well? It's pretty easy to go Dr. Seuss on a message board.

Thanks Volswillrise.... meanwhile, regarding the non-necessary and mean spirited negative posts toward a hard working kid: it's no wonder potential college prospects go elsewhere--with head up their ass fans like you guys. I told the truth, I do not fear karma. You, on the other hand, should.

I do not condone their posts, however, fans are everywhere like that.

Hunter seems like an awesome kid! Really hope he gets to play wherever he wishes. Hard work pays off in life and he will get whatever he wants as long as he works at it. Good luck to him!

Yeah wU, I guess I am too close to the situation. It's just that I have been a UT fan for as long as I can remember...my son's rooms were always orange and white. How I felt the entire week was based on whether or not UT won the previous Saturday. So there is no doubt that I am a huge UT fan. Then to watch this kid who was 145 lbs just 2 years ago, work his tail off to become the serious 215 lb player he is today, who gets up early to work out, studies game film, attends every camp without question, and as you can tell from his film has a great knack for the game---and see him pacing back and forth everyday waiting for Friday nights----then to have people who are successful in the sport who work with him and say 'he has a great shot to play on Saturdays if he wants'---then they go the extra mile to send emails and make calls to college coaches---well, it just raises my hackles a bit when these numb-nuts get on here and say wrong, callous, and ignorant things. I am aware that's what goes with being on a board to start with---but being from a small area with no media coverage---our exposure levels are minimal...so we are doing what we can to get the word out. If it somehow makes you feel like a big man to talk someone down....well good for you, but I feel sorry for you. We are not trying to do anything but positive things here. Thanks for reading.

It's just funny you say you're a UT fan but said this of us:
head up their ass fans like you guys

I'm just saying, if you really wanted to get the word out, cursing out fans isn't the best way to do so. Good luck to you and your son's endeavors, I've seen many of friends/people I know want to play CFB and not get the chance. I graduated from a 2a school in GA and many thought that's why they didn't get offers. So sincerely, good luck. If he deserves offers he will get them.

Good point. My apologies. My flash of anger was parental..not mean spirited.

If your son keeps working his tail off, he'll get a good education at some school that will set him up for a successful life. Pay no attention to haters; sounds like you have him on the right track.
