Last time we had over a 60 yard TD on offense? We need more explosive players.

Every WR we have is a possession guys. Even North. I will be hPpy when we can get a guy who gets even with a DB and then Leaves em.

North is not a possession guy. He beats people on deep routes frequently. He gets double or even tripled consistently

I disagree. I think if he had that opposite WR teams had to pay attention to, he could be an all-around (including deep-threat) guy. It also doesn't help that our QB play hasn't been great, or we don't have a threat at TE

He may have that ability but he's very rarely shown it on the field. Pig's had 53 catches in his career to date with his longest being just 33 yards, and his per-catch average of 7.8 yards is the lowest I can remember ever seeing for a Vol receiver.

I'm looking more at his ability than production. He rarely been given real space to work with.

North isn't a blazer like we're talking about though. He can't catch a hitch and just pull away from everyone similar to Robert Meachem.

Thanks for stating the obvious.. Not making a case for UT to offer the kid.. Just keeping thread up to date.. I think he does fit in those systems out west rather than the ones in the SEC..

I think you're misconstruing the meaning of a possession WR. North does not have that "wiggle." If he does, we haven't seen it.

He definitely has it. We have just not seen it yet as he is being doubled and tripled frequently.

All IMO of course.
