"A coach still could conceivably block a graduate transfer hoping to move this summer, but coaches across the country are about to have that capability stripped by an NCAA rule that will be voted on later this month and will go into effect in October. Under the current rules, schools must grant permission to athletes to be contacted by potential transfer destinations. If the old school doesnt grant permission, the new school cant give the player an athletic scholarship for a year. "
Saban could still block him from having permission until Oct. vote, but he would look like more of a douchebag than he already does. Most think he will cave in and grant Kennedy permission at some point.
How is any different than the other SEC transfers within the league?
Think the familiarity with the coaching staff gives us the edge.
This plus his friends on team a lot less likely to be mad that he goes to TN than Auburn. Some may noT want to admit it but auburn is a more fierce rival than TN to them. I don't think any of his guys would care if he came here but there would be some ill will at auburn.
I think his relationship with neidemeyer will win out. He already knows he has a guy in his corner here
