I hate Vandy worse than anybody else. I now understand why old timers like Cafego and Fulmer hated them so much. When I was young and we were beating the living crap out of them for so long it didn't make any sense to me...I get it now.

I don't hate on lil bro for talkin smack right now. They have never had the opportunity and they won't again for a long time. They can have their one decade a century. Will make it sweeter when we take it back away. Their little taste of success will make it hurt worse, because they know what it's like to win a little now.

I can see how the younger generation could. But growing up, Fla wasn't a rival then and all hate ran through Tuscalooser. I've not been around many Fla fans but living in Bammer land I can't imagine a more obnoxious,running their mouths fanbase. They truly believe they are God's gift to college football and fans of SEC teams. And to hear them talk, they have never gone through a decade long set of bad times. They even try to incorporate Roll Braves when talking about them. Then instead of hey or good morning they love to greet in the Roll Tide language. Even hear Have a Roll Tide day or its a roll tide kinda day. There's numerous others too. They can talk $hit about every other team, but lose their mind if you make fun of or say anything bad about their beloved football team. It was a culture shock when I moved here from Knoxville/Maryville. Truly unlike anything I've ever seen.

They aren’t my lil bro. That implies some level of civility, almost fondness.

Like I said, if you haven’t lived in Nashville and had much contact with their couple of “fans”, then you don’t understand. I always tried to be civil but it didn’t matter because to them ALL UT fans are white trash, unintelligent, uneducated hillbillies. I don’t care for snotty people. So it isn’t so much the team, as it is the fans.

I honestly didn't know they had fans. The vandy alum I've met were all Vol fans. Or didn't watch football. Although, I've never seen more than one or two in the same place at the same time. So maybe they get brave when there's 2 or 3 of them together. I can't imagine that happens often though. :)

Having grown up in Nashville, I can vouch for this. Their attitude goes something like this, "Yeah, you might beat us in football, but your kids will end up cleaning my toilets." I can't even imagine how insufferable they must be now that they've had some success against us recently.

Yep. For 60 years it was “well, we don’t care about sports”. Then they had a couple of years of success, during THE worst period of UT football, now all the sudden it’s “we always expect to dominate you rednecks”

That being said, I still can't hate Vandy fans. They're kind of pitiful and not worthy of an emotional response..

I think he's trying to say that a formal declaration of Mr. Kennedy's intentions in utilizing his final two years of eligibility for participating in the sport of American College Football will be made in or after a short period of time.
