Read the next post and reconsidered posting this: after ten straight losses I think you have to change your name to Tennetucky or Vandetenn.

That is the dumbest thing I've read on here. We should name ourselves after two losing programs because of 10 loses in a 100+ year history? Just the thing a clueless gator fan would say. A fan base that constantly ****s the bed when things aren't great. You lost to georgia southern. A feat Vanderbilt or Kentucky has yet "accomplished". Funny you bring them up though because your pathetic fanbase couldn't even fill up vandys or kentuckys stadium during your spring game. I guess most of them were too busy buying FSU gear. :hi:

Pruitt? not top 5 yet... Dana A( Texas DB coach) and Saban are top 2.

Champ's DBs look better than Saban's guys(he babysits his CB too much)on the regular. He's probably the best in the biz as a DB developer. I like our guy CWM though. No where near a slouch. Duane is very good too and his guys usually are the most technically sound in the country top to bottom. Pelini is good as a DB developer too. He and Dantonio are churning out big time DBs year in and year out.

Not much debate here. Florida does a great job recruiting and developing DB's. The issue they have is recruiting offensive players (minus running backs) and that has been the case since Muschamp took over.

I'm always impressed by Mississippi State's secondary. They never have the flashiest guys in recruiting but they always seem to turn out good ones that have been coached up. AJ McCarron certainly struggled with them this year.

Florida DB's hold and push alot, but they are fast and are good at getting away with it. GO VOLS!

All good ones do. Go check Richard Sherman out. He's the king of holding/dogging a WR as we call it. Sutton is in that dog style of CB mold and you'll see more of that style of play here in the future. :)

I love how Sutton hits. It's very EB14-esque - low, fast, and hard, and they get up feeling it. Still has some issues with wrapping up as you mentioned but nothing that can't be fixed.

Remember the first year when CWM took over and started teaching the physical style and the DBs were continually flagged? Remember your laughter and jibes? CWM may be a terrible head coach. Jury is still out. Whatever you guys say, UF fans are saying doubled in spades. If the team doesn't improve substantially this year, I will be screaming for a new coach. But criticizing his coaching of DBs is, frankly, silly and simply marks you as lacking knowledge of college football.

Talking trash on a team that has beaten you--What?--seven times in a row and a coach that has won three straight against you just doesn't show good sense. Sorry if the truth offends you. It doesn't. Do you not see that when you point out our shame in losing to Ga Southern you are simply highlighting your shame in losing yet again to a team that couldn't even beat Ga Southern? And all the posts that begin "When we beat UF this year..." are wearing thin. I have been on this board several years and have heard that every year. This truly may well be the year, but why not wait until it actually happens?

Now for those of you who take a little while to catch on: I respect UT as a rival. Wouldn't be on here if I didn't. I look forward to both our teams being strong and the rivalry being meaningful. But starting an attack on a team and coach that are beating you and not expecting a loyal fan to point it out is not realistic. Indeed, transferred to an athletic team that attitude guarantees losing. Think about it.

Do you think the team (UF) will actually be behind CWM this year? A lot of times when teams have bad years and start losing, they cant break the mental aspect of it. They get used to losing quick which makes them have less faith in their coach. It happens all of the time. The losing mentality is something we're having trouble shaking right now. Finally got some kids in the program with the right mindset

LSU is DBU. They always have multiple topnotch DBs on the field.

Because they stay stacked deep with 5-star recruits, thanks to the Mad Hatter. M-State can't do that yet they still turn out good DBs. That's coaching and development.
