Yeah I don't have any idea. Maybe a jab at me for comparing a junior in high school to JJ Watt lol! I just think at his size, he is strong already and will get stronger, he will be a force on DL. Will be able to get some batted balls as well. I hope he can be half of what Watt is, but it'll probably double. Lol

Yeah he was giving you the ole "Really...?" for comparing him to JJ.

Can't stand the posters who get on to others for making simple comparisons. Most recruits in HS DO resemble some NFL stud because they are men amongst boys out there. That's why they are being recruited to D1 schools. They outclass everybody else out there. The comparisons are reasonable. Everyone knows that (said recruit) isn't (said NFL star), but dammit if our recruits aren't looking like NFL studs in HS then we aren't recruiting the right type of talent for this university.

So Butcher = Watt?

And y'all get pissed when these recruits don't live up the lofty expectations y'all set for them. They're at a disadvantage before they even set foot on campus, because their fan base expects them to play to the level of an NFL superstar from the first snap. It's unreasonable.

Sorry I don't fully expect any recruits to live up to expectations. I hope they do. I would love for him to play like JJ Watt, he is a tall strong white guy at DE so I made the comparison. Sorry to frizz your perm.

People were comparing Drae Bowles to Anquan Boldin. What, exactly, has Bowles produced so far? He's not even being considered in the WR rotation right now.

Long story short, making comparisons are fine. However, anyone that expects every highly rated recruit to produce at the next level is naive and probably hasn't followed recruiting and college football for very long.

Bowles may not be the best example, as I think the signs were there that he may struggle. He played bad competition, and he didn't even play in an offensive system that valued a true WR. He was rated based on his athletic ability and size.
