I think this will be a great pickup. He is a very disciplined player from what you can see in his film. He's got some pretty good moves as a sophomore and is only going to get bigger, stronger, and faster. I would love to update the '15 Commits thread with his name in Orange! Plus he has an awesome name.

Tennessee boy at heart right there. Just needs to make it official!

I'll always worry about Clemson until that dotted line is signed, but this seems very promising.

“Tennessee’s definitely on top right now,” said Butcher, who also holds early offers from West Virginia, Connecticut and Utah. “It’s just because Tennessee is just a great place to be. It’s a family environment. All the coaches seem very nice, that I know of, and the fan base is incredible.

“So much of my family has went there, and all the tradition there — I just love it.”

Butcher said Clemson, which hosted him for its spring game on April 13, hasn’t “showed any interest so far” despite his family ties to the Tigers. An offer from his father’s alma mater would allow Clemson to “be a factor,” Butcher said, but he's currently high on the Vols.

“I’m very convinced that everything’s going in the right direction for that (Tennessee) program,” he said. “It’s just all going uphill right now.”

He is visiting UT again in two weeks, and he is visiting with his mother. He said that his mother needs to approve of the academic side of things.

I say this is another brick in the 2015 class when he brings mama. Sounds like he has already made his mind up just needs moms blessing

Defensive end Andrew Butcher is expected to be in town next weekend and the Vols are the leaders here and it wouldn't be a surprise to see him pull the trigger early. Butcher has already been to Knoxville a handful of times and is very comfortable with the staff.

He should commit this weekend, 2015 DE .He will blow up after this season. Dont be suprised if he will be a high 4 star by the time his senior year comes around (for you star gazers)

He is coming out of the same football academy as Carl Lawson, and has some very good skills allready, he will only get faster and stronger. Very tough kid, smart and polite and works his butt off every day. High quality kid..
