'15 GA CB Jeremy McDuffie

Martinez is expected in South Georgia to see Jeremy McDuffie as the Vols evaluate whether or not he could be an early enrollee. McDuffie could possibly make an official visit to Tennessee next weekend if his grades are in order.

I don't get this? We have Miller and Abernathy already. We should be able to land Martin, and Ugo is still on the board. Are we going to take this commitment due to McDuffle being an EE? Plus, Miller seams to be just as good a CB prospect as McDuffle...

The only thing I can think of is that they prefer EE McDuffie over summer Miller. Which also means that they think Ugo is sticking with Ole Miss.

Calm down. He hasn't committed or anything.

I like him much more than Ugo. This kid has tremendous upside.

That was my conclusion as well. Personally, I'd just stick with Miller. I really don't think we need a CB to EE if we are in good shape with Martin. We land Martin, then him, E. Mos, Cam, and Foreman will lock down the CB spots. I thought Foreman looked good when he came in for Cam a few weeks ago. He'll make a really good 4th CB IMO.

If we take this kid, do you think Miller leaves? I don't see us signing 4 CBs this year (Miller, Martin, Abernathy, and McDuffie). I really think Miller will be a very good CB in time. The kid has offers from Mich. St, etc.; however, none of us can really question Willie's recruiting. He's been lights out in DB recruiting and developing since he got here.

I could see Abernathy move to FS potentially....

There's no certainty that Martin will ever be a Vol.

Bump. With Amadi & Martin possibly headed to LSU, McDuffie might be one to keep an eye one. Seems Duke has a lot of momentum right now but things could change if UT pursues for a commitment.

What about Yaquis (sp?) "Duke" Shelley? He tried to commit to us a LONG time ago but we weren't ready to take him. If Amadi and Martin head to LSU, could we get back in on his recruitment?

Probably not. Shelley mis interpreted his "offer". It more more conditional on him coming back to camp in summer for further evaluation. He was a little smaller than they wanted and Amadi was ahead of him on the board I think. Given that we got in tough with McDuffie late makes me think he's a legitimate back up plan.
