Crystal ball picks: Tennessee 100%

rahming, one of tennessee’s top slot-receiver targets, received his first offer from tennessee in january and has referred to the vols as his leader since traveling to knoxville for the first time march 8. The 5-foot-8.5, 153-pound rahming now holds eight offers, but all five crystal ball picks — two of which have come within the past two weeks — still are for ut.

Or he may decide having a few JRs and SRs around may not be a bad thing.

The simple truth is we are going to lose kids on scholarship that we both want to leave and cannot afford to lose. Not all of the kids that leave will make us better. But I'd be very surprised to see us take less than 22-23.

I think it is all very simple to understand. I'm actually having a hard time believing that I am the only one that has figured it out.

It is a "two fer" deal. Just not the one everyone is thinking it is.

Drum roll please..................

Butch and Holly are waiting for the right time to have TJ and his girlfriend announce for UT at the same time. Football team gets another great slot guy. LadyVols get the #4 player in the country. BINGO!!

I like this kid...kindofa faster version of Ryan Jenkins, who I still believe will ball out for us

I love Rahming, and if it were up to me, he'd already be committed. Something tells me the coaching staff is seeing how numbers work out before taking his commitment.

I say we just don't take a TE this cycle and take an extra WR/Athlete

Understand the sentiment but TE is too important to this offense to skip a year signing one IMO. We only have 2 SEC level TEs on the roster so we'd be one bad injury, to Wolf or Helm, away from disaster and no depth. Have to sign one good TE every year IMO.

I'm not ready to give up on Branisel(SO)and Tisho(RSFR) just yet. I think they could develop into contributers at Tennessee.

Bransiel was solid in limited time last year. He can't help he tore his ACL. IMO we have 3 quality SEC TEs( AJ/helm/wolf)and guys in Down and Ellis that can help in spots but not full time due to health. Downs knew is a mess after Brewer destroyed it. It was clear in each game last year that he basically has one leg out there.

I do agree that we take 1 TE minimum per class

Have you seen where he was moved to safety?

nah i didnt see it but that doesnt surprise me. the kid was constantly getting abused last year. they eventually quit playing him completely. they couldnt afford it and Shaq Wiggins eventually took over. i can see Safety bc he seemed a little slow at Corner.

He coming to the O&W game? Chuma Edoga said he's probably coming with TJ if he goes.

I don't think Rahming will get a commitable UT offer.

He is 5'8" 152 pounds (verified). Despite having legit 4.4 speed, I think his size will prevent him from earning that UT offer.

No one is suggesting that. 5'8" 152 is just very very small. There are risks involved with taking a player that size, risks that Tennessee doesn't need to take right now with the way Jones is recruiting.

Moseley was like a buck fifty five a couple months ago, now he is over 180 and taking first team reps.

Not worried about his weight at all.
