Biggest win in Vandy history?

probably not, but it's their first win over a ranked team since South Carolina in 2008

edit: sorry, Boston College in 2008 was the last ranked team they beat; they played later in the year

They beat SC on the road about 5-6 years ago, and SC was ranked in the Top 10.

They also beat a high ranked Auburn team in 2008, pushing there schedule to 5-0 and getting into the top 25 for the first time since the early 1980s. Same year they played and upset a ranked Boston College team at the Music City Bowl.

Said Auburn game is the reason Tommy Tubberville ended up eventually loosing his job the same time as Phil.

Meh, let vandy celebrate. UT may have lost the game against GA but we beat the dawgcrap out of that team. Ga had LSU, had SC, played Clemson to a very close loss. After UT was done with them, they have nothing left. Let vandy celebrate now. They have Tamu & UF up next, a bye week when they play UK - then they come to our house. Butch has these boys ready to rock the SEC. Most conditioned team I have seen in a very long time. Today was a conditioning win. We won it in the 1st quarter. We won it in the 4th.

Yeah - better would be to sit out one quarter if there has to be a punishment

Yeah that sounds a little more like it, harsh enough to make you think twice but not stupid like it is now

I'd prefer Vandy to lose myself since it does little more than give their fans something to talk about. ""Oh we're going to beat you again!"

Like it happens so often that it matters. I'm waiting for them to come to our house and watch the beatdown of epic proportions. It's a grudge match, a revenge game for all the smack they've talked the past year.
