I think UT has the last visit Jan 30th.

I really think this guy is the difference between a good secondary and an elite secondary next year.

Hope we get him. This is the type of recruiting battle that, if we come out on top, tells me we're back, and here to stay.

I don't get why everyone thinks LSU when VQ has been saying it will be incredibly tough to beat UT, and his reaction to the Scar game

Will he be able to come in during the summer for workouts? I know there was speculation to when he could enroll.

I hope this guy is a vol but I don't blame anyone fior wanting to play for chavis

I love me some Chavis also, but Jancek is a boss as well. Let me put it this way, if I could have either, I'd take Jancek and this current staff. Willie/Strip/Thig will be putting players in the NFL regularly if they stay here long term.

Chavis has been putting players in the league for years

I don't know, Chavis can stop a slot man.....

Yea Man I like Jancek, but chavis is a top 5 DC in the country.

Let me put it like this, no way pharaoh cooper would have gone ham on us if chavis was in charge. That would have been nipped in the bud early.

Chavis is probably a top 3 DC in the country, and he also has elite talent at LSU. They have become the DBU. They are loaded in the secondary. I'd take Chavis back as long as Thig/Willie/Strip were to stay. Chavis isn't a master mind recruiter on his own. He'd have to be surrounded by really good recruiters here.

Our secondary isn't even comparable to LSU's. If LSU loses out on Martin, they will replace his spot with a high school all-american. That's the difference between LSU and UT.

Breaker brings up a great argument as well. However, one must take into account that Coleman is a below average DB, and all our backup nickel backs are freshman. Coleman makes the same mistakes game in and game out. I know this isn't all on Coach Willile, because Cam, TKJr, McNeil, and Moseley have all improved greatly under Willie's watch. Coleman has a below average football IQ, and that's why slot WRs have a field day on us. We could sit back in zone all game, but that's going to leave us very vulnerable to the run, especially when you take into account that we don't play one DT over 300Lbs. We don't have an elite seconday yet. IMO, our secondary is the second biggest weakness on our team after o-line. That's why it's crucial we land guys like Martin.

Martin was originally scheduled to give Tennessee his last official visit with LSU getting an official the weekend before. Martin has now decided to flip those weekends with LSU getting the Jan 30 weekend and Tennessee hosting him on the weekend of Jan. 23.

It seems like he made the switch because LSU is playing in the Music City Bowl on Dec. 30 and now he will be able to attend the bowl game. Still not worried.
