Thanks for the info de1 and AU fan thanks for being so nice in your comment to me- while it does make me nervous that he is taking these visits, I am hopeful that he is a VOL in the end. I am still remembering his comments about his mom wanting him at Tennessee that has to be big here also- we know how moms can help or hurt the situation- as I learned in the Jefferson thread. If the mom has an opinion that favors UT she is a genius and her son needs to listen. If mom favors somewhere else she doesn't know anything and must be on the take ($$$$) and clearly doesn't want what's best for her son (UT).

Moms mean so much in recruiting. It is rare that kids will go against them. NSD can be odd though. I remember a few kids have signed papers for 2 schools on that day because their mom wanted them to go somewhere else. A couple of times a parent has tried to fax in papers for the kid to a school that they didn't want to go to.

Thanks for the info, de1. Were Justin, Kyle, and Ugo all going to LSU before Chavis left? Another poster in another thread said Chief told him they were. Curious if true or not.

Kyle has been all in on UT as has his family specifically his grandfather. Justin was always UT to lose. When nobody else was there for Justin UT was. Kid had very bad academics and they stayed around. Ugo has been all over the place but would've originally been UT if they didn't slow play due to wanting bigger CBS

DJ was mutual. He wanted to take visits to enjoy process and Shy told staff he wanted to be a Vol. So we chose the HS 5 star over the Juco DT. I take that trade all day

Honestly i never knew anyrhing about Oregon but Chief called and Ugo still chose Oregon. If I had to guess he like most kids was enamored by all the "stuff" Oregon haas to offer. Onbthe LSU thing nobody wants to go somewhere that has any kind of uncertainties like LSU and them not having a DC and knowing how you'll fit in.

Why are people so concerned/worried about Chavis leaving LSU? And why are we always trying to link Kyle's commit to J.Chavis leaving? Can we be happy that he is here and UT is the finally destination for Kyle. I have said multiple times (Kyle thread) that J.Chavis was not the reason Kyle chose UT. It helped, sure....
