'15 JUCO WR Camion Patrick

The one thing I love about Dooley is that we seem to get on players before anyone else. 5 players last moved up in rankings that Dooley found and looks like the trend is continuing this year.

Its the number 1 reason I think Dooley should be given more time. He may not be a great gameday coach, but neither is Miles. The most important thing in college football is recruiting and talent evaluations and Dooley is great at both of those categories.

The point, and jokebutnotreallyjoking, is that 'bad competition' would've been a reasoning for not bumping his rating. But now that he's got a bama offer and will get more, he will be boosted

He should be boosted. I'm just glad Tennessee jumped on him before anyone else did. That is a huge credit to the staff. If this kid were in Ohio I guarantee you 247 would have him as a 4-star right now instead of the sorry ass 87 rating they gave him. I still cant believe they rated him that low after having his film. Competition sucks but he shows elite skills in a number of different categories on his film.

At least Rivals admitted they hadn't seen his film prior to doing their rankings. His offers today just prove what other really good coaching staffs see in him that apparently 247 doesn't.

This is a football forum discussion, but I don't think CDD is a bad gameday coach. He doesn't call the plays, which was the problem, especially on offense. CDD obviously coordinates the schemes/plans and creates a game plan, but he isn't calling the plays. I wouldn't be too harsh on him in that regard.

I wish Bama would stay away from UTs commits:no:

I'm happy with it. Doesn't it feel good to have reassurance that some of the best talent evaluators in the country feel the same about a recruit? So much so that they gave the respective kid an offer?

I just said may for the people who thinks he is.

Exactly. I'd much rather Alabama offer a player we land than not offer him. Tennessee needs guys the big-time schools want if they are ever going to get the program back where it belongs.

+1

Our best players were recruited by schools from all over. Da'Rick, Hunter, M.Jackson(last year), AJ, Maggitt, all of these guys are big time players. Bray is the only exception. You don't win championships without good/great elite players. I've seen guys who have stated on here they just want 10 wins each year. They can have that I'm just like the Bama fans down here, every year it should be championship or bust for a program of our statue in history. 10 wins should be the minimum. After this year I'm expecting 10 year in and year out with a chance to go trophy hunting every year.

No such thing as a competitive team in the SEC built with diamond in the roughs.

Arky did it but they're still not an elite team.
They won because of their offense and those players were highly touted.

Knile Davis- 4star
Ryan Mallet-5star
Tyler Wilson-4star
Jarius Wright-4 star
Joe Adams- 4star
Greg Childs- 3star but had offers from UT and Mike Leach when he was with Texas Tech.

Arky doesn't win more than 6 games without those guys.

I do think he will go up in the rankings and I think he's solid to Tennessee. The Vol staff can't neglect him and they won't, but I think he will be solid.

Yep. He's a huge UT fan according to what I've read. He desperately wanted a Vol offer and that's why he committed so early/quickly. Honestly that tells me about all I need to know.

I love it. It seems like the last few years we have had a hanful of commits they may have wanted. This year we already have 3 or 4 and are battling them for more. If we can win this year and land these guys it is a big step forward.

I think you mean forward

Explosive, explosive athlete. He's a great leaper. He has a strong wide receiver frame. Really he could probably be a great safety as well.

He's a legit 6-2, at worst he's a big 6-1. After watching him play bball, seeing him in person and watching his film I'm very high on this kid and I think UT could have gotten a steal.

I'm hoping to be able to go see Patrick play this coming season. Over the past couple seasons I've been able to see a few UT commits/targets play..

Devrin Young
Kyler Kerbyson
Akeem Cooperwood
Willie Carmichael
I'tavius Mathers (All-Star Game)
Dy'shawn Mobley (All-Star Game)

So I'm looking forward to seeing how Patrick compares to them.
