'15 JUCO WR Camion Patrick

I'll never understand the people that transfer due to playing time the next year when they have to sit out next year if they have to transfer and they would have had the opportunity to play a lot as a junior anyway at the school they are transferring from

I would guess that usually playing time is just part of it. Lots of reasons a kid rethinks his choice after getting on campus and in the program.

Maybe Vic can transfer to UTC in Chattanooga with Drae Bowles since he is scared of competition! Both can start at UTC.

It seems like the only reason a young man would leave a team (other that outside personal or academics) is when he not only didn't get a lot of playing time, but feels within his own heart, that he will never get a lot of playing time.

I'm sorry, regardless of the young man that says it, I don't buy the whole "I think i'm better than so and so and should have seen a lot more playtime.........therefore I'm going to sit out a year and then go play somewhere else."

Everything else that is said is just an excuse.

A walk on comes onto a team and works their ass off to get play time knowing they'll be lucky to ever see the field on game day. Those guys have guts and have a feeling for being a part of a team.

Just my personal opinion though.

Never said he was afraid of competition, but he can sure be intimidated by it. Look at the WR on roster and the ones coming in, there are guys with his speed that are 5 inches taller than he is.

If he wants to be a featured WR then transferring is probably his best option.

Yea, I don't know that Vic would be a " featured WR" at UT because of other talent. His size is am issue. But I believe he would contribute and play quite a bit after Pearson and Pig leave, especially if we only bring in 1-2 true WR's in this class. His niche would be a slot WR/return man. There are guys in pro sports who aren't featured players and have a niche, and they make a lot of money.

Yeah, I was going to say that he looks like Brandon Stokley (Ravens, Colts, Broncos)... He should stick it out here. He would definitely play a lot in '16 and '17.

I just read this on SDS

Tennessee Vols guide to National Signing Day

"There’s late buzz that junior college WR Camion Patrick will sign with the Vols on Wednesday, potentially lifting the class to 30 signees. The 6-foot-2, 215-pound three-star has worked through some eligibility issues and also has considered Auburn, Louisville and Indiana"

This would be huge. Especially if pw had to redshirt due to injury

Are the Vic and Ryan Jenkins rumors still floating? If so, we need Camion.

According to this from TOS Wharton is gone. This was an article breaking down offensive positions from all of Butch's signing classes.

Hope this kid re-classifies to the '16 class. We are pretty much out of room (other than DR). I feel like if he was a '16 guy, he would be a quick commit for the Vols.

Per VQ, we asked Cam to blueshirt because we literally have no room. So AU is now the frontrunner. If AU lands several guys tm, they could be in the same spot as us. In that case, Cam would most likely favor UT.
