Really hope we can make a great impression on him this weekend. He would be elite along side Preston in this class. LA players are always tough to pull out of state though.

Is this guy a take before CJ Sanders? Or are they both takes with how we are in the slot right now? I really like CJ.

The only reason we'd turn down a guy like Tyron Johnson is if grades were a concern and/or we had a silent commit at WR. Top 5 WR in the nation is always a take.

I concur. Too much talent to turn down. Hopefully they load him up with the secret peanut butter and he commits....wishful thinking cause this one will go down to the wire. Has offers from all of the following including others TAM...AU...LSU...FLA...TENN...CLEM

Top247 junior wide receiver Tyron Johnson of New Orleans is ranked the nation's No. 41 overall prospect in the 247Sports Composite.
The trip made him even more interested in Tennessee.
The Top247 junior wide receiver from Warren Easton Charter High School in New Orleans, who claims more than 20 offers, said he was impressed by the Vols during his weekend stay in Knoxville, and he now plans to take a “hard look” at them in the coming months.
“It was great. I got a chance to meet the coaches. The facilities are nice,” said Johnson, who’s ranked the nation’s No. 41 overall prospect and No. 3 wide receiver in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite for the 2015 class.
“A lot stood out. It’s a whole new staff. They’re running a fast-paced offense, and they have more of a system now.”
The 6-foot-1, 191-pound Johnson — who was accompanied on the trip by two other New Orleans-area standouts, cornerback Shawn Butler and wide receiver Jalen McCleskey, the son of former Tennessee standout J.J. McCleskey — said he’s already planning to visit the Vols again at some point.
“I was interested in them before this weekend,” Johnson said. “They’re a school I’m going to keep a hard look on. I like a lot of schools, but that’s one of the schools I’m going to keep a hard look on and watch them, follow them to see how good they do during the season.
“I don’t really have a list (of favorites) yet. I will narrow it down, like, during the season.”
Johnson said he talked with Tennessee running backs coach Robert Gillespie and wide receivers coach Zach Azzanni, who made it clear to Johnson that they envision him playing a significant role in the Vols’ offense.
“They were just talking about getting me up there. They really like me, and they want me to be a part of their program,” Johnson said. “(Azzanni) said he sees me coming in my freshman year there, and they could move me around — outside receiver and inside receiver — and try to get me the ball more.”
“(I liked) just the whole new offense, the whole new staff, and (that) they’re going to give you a chance to play. ... It’s still a quarterback controversy or whatever, but I think I would fit in their offense.”
He said he was particularly impressed by Tennessee’s facilities.
“The facility was great,” Johnson said. “I’ve never seen no facilities like it, and I’ve been everywhere, so that was nice.”
Johnson, who also attended a junior day at LSU last month, said he hasn’t decided on any other schools he’s hoping to visit soon, and he has “nothing scheduled right now.” He’s also in no hurry to make his college choice.
“I’m going to make my (announcement) at the Under Armour (All-America) Game,” he said. “I’m going to early enroll right after the Under Armour game.”

So have a good season, showing improvement and we have somewhat of a chance.

Sounds like a really good chance! Definitely would be nice to have both him and Preston Williams. We might have to create a new 6 wide offense to accommodate all our awesome receivers! Lol

I'm trying to cut some things out lol. I know it doesn't seem like it, but it seemed like pertinent info. When I finally get my computer back it won't be so hard to just summarize. I just hate typing on this little phone.

Just keep doing what your doing man. It's not a big deal to thousands of us believe me

I hear ya man. Just be glad Mods don't penalize for posting 'premium content' anymore, I seem to recall getting a couple "referrals" for it back in the day.
