It appears Cole did make it in for Orange Carpet Day, although I still haven't seen a summary of that visit. He was scheduled to visit Michigan last weekend but cancelled. Planning to visit OHST.

More below from Bill Kurelic of 247:

Saginaw (Mich.) Heritage athlete Brian Cole, who has been to Ohio State before, is going to get back to Columbus before the end of the summer.

"Yes we will," Brian's father Brian Cole Sr. said. "I'm not absolutely certain when it will be, it depends on when the Ohio State coaches get back in. But we plan to get back down there before the end of the summer. We just have to figure out when."

Cole's most recent visit was to Tennessee June 21. He has also been to Ohio State, Michigan State, and Michigan.

Cole has scholarship offers from all of those schools as well as Purdue, Wisconsin, Nebraska, Illinois and a couple others.
The 6-foot-2 and 190-pound Cole has played quarterback, wide receiver, running back, and defensive back for Heritage. He is being recruited as a wide receiver or safety by the Buckeyes.

Cole is a 4-star prospect in the 247Sports rankings. He is the country's No. 38 overall prospect, the No. 2 athlete, and the No. 1 prospect in Michigan.

Ohio State, Michigan State, Michigan and Tennessee are thought to be the most likely destinations for Cole.

FWIW from Wolverines247:

Michigan quarterback commitment Alex Malzone will not only visit Sunday for the BBQ at the Big House, but will be on campus Friday as well to be there with top Michigan target Brian Cole as well.

"I know he's excited to get here," Malzone said. "I'm looking forward to taking my visit with him and showing him why Michigan is the best spot for him."

Cole and Malzone have been in consistent contact since the latter committed to the Wolverines in April.

I like that he is not short too, helps covering tall Wr. I noticed he has taken 2 unofficial visits here, that says a lot. Michigan losing the way they did to ND can only help too!!!

If the staff is set on taking another CB, Abernathy, Martin, or Cole would be a great option.

If they do, IMO they won't be pushing for another OT.

I'd be fine with four OL

I am as well. Sweet is really the only option I still like at OT. With him being committed to UNC, not sure he is even really in play for UT. I don't see any of the OT guys left as likely starters or being able to push to start as a TFR. Sign the 4 we have, already have Johnson for 2016 and are in on several quality options for 2016. Take the "best available" on the board at LB or CB and go with that added to Tuttle IMO.
