Love said Virginia Tech moved up for sure.
I think the coaches are interested in a 3rd RB for this class because Kamara is likely going to be here for just one year. Although a 3rd RB isn't super necessary with us taking three last class, if we can land Love or Newsome to play some RB/slot, or even get a walk-on in Vaughn, then we'll maintain that depth after Kamara splits.
Have you seen any tape on Vaughn? Kids a stud.
I think Vaughn is a good rb. but hes not that explosive or fast imo. He and Rankin are pretty similar.
I'd guess that would be the UT staffs order as well.
I just think the order in which UT has the best shot is:
Vaughn, Love, Frasier.
The offer to Vaughn with the other 2 still "in play" is why I say that.
Could be. Id rather slow play Vaughn in the hopes of getting Frasier or Love, even if it means missing on all 3.
That may end up being their plan. With Vaughn set to announce, the UT offer all a sudden had him slowing things down and backing off making a decision. CBJ could have very well extended the offer to Vaughn knowing it would buy him some time with all 3.

Something else I thought about today was with us losing Paulk, maybe the staff should consider taking Brazil as a RB. LSU thought he would be a good 1 for them. He is around 195lbs and blazing speed. Him being a Juco would help space out the RBs roster wise a bit as well.
Just a thought.
I just always think it's funny to picture these scenarios
CBJ: I really like you're game, we want to offer.
Vaughn: Awesome. I want to commit.
CBJ: Slow your roll, son...
I've said it before, IMO that is exactly the way a recruit should handle a UT offer IF they know they want to be a Vol. Ask CBJ the second the offer is made, "can I commit". If he says not yet, or we'll see, the kid knows where he stands and that offer does not mean much. Had Vaughn asked that and CBJ said not now, IMO Vaughn would have committed to wherever he was ready to before the UT offer came. That's partly why I think at least Vaughn thinks CBJ would take him now.
