Excellent pickup. I think tOSU or UT still has a good chance at getting him, but I will root for this kid wherever he ends up. As long as he isn't lined up against our Vols, that is.

@JaysonSwain: These are 17-18 yr old kids. They are being pushed to commit early for the coaches benefit. I dont blame them being "open". Things change.

I really like how this kid handled his recruitment. Respectful kid, hope he succeeds other than one game year.

I think if Muschamp fails this year which I expect, we're right back in this thing. The surprise is that the kid went out of state. If we do well I think we can swing him.

I'm sure it's been mentioned before, but I wouldn't mind seeing thread titles updated to include commitment status for guys to schools other than UT just like we do for our guys.

i cant wait till football season i truly believe roper looks like a genius by the end of it gonna be fun watching peoples tunes change if we somehow win 9 or 10 games next yr then suddenly that 4 win season looks like the anomaly and muschamp just had 1 bad yr lol

i love the fact everybody thinks were gonna suck we didnt do too good last yr with the high expectations

Or like every other team breaking in a new offensive system, it takes a year to click and he wins 5-6 games. There is usually a reason for low expectations.

oh very good reason we were awful last yr it was so hard watching our offense and we still had close games with uga, lsu, scar, etc

our offense was probably near the bottom at 120 if we could just get it up to the 50's or 60's with a middle of the pack offense our defense could close out games

Not knocking you Big Boi, but your above statement has an eerily similar Derek Dooley, year 3, tone to it.

Two issues: you can play really well this year and still not win 9 games. Schedule is really tough.

With your talent, you shouldn't have a year where you win just 4 games. That shouldn't happen at UF anymore. Sure, you might go 6-6 some years, but 4-8 is just bad. JMO.

But Muschamp has had 2 "bad" years at UF not just one. He is another Ron Zook.

Great pickup here HG. This will be one to watch until February. On an unrelated note, has there ever been such a chasm between offensive and defensive recruiting on the same team??

It so does, but it is the other way around. We didn't have a defense with Dooley, & Florida lacks offense with Muschump. Maybe some University can hire them as co-head coaches on a brain share or something.
