Tim Burton's first Batman did have a superior soundtrack and Jack Nicholson was entertaining and had some great lines.

The advantage pretty much ends there.

I have to agree that the Burton movie had a better theme but I also agree that the Burton film had the better vehicles. I liked the tumbler but the classic comic Batmobile & Batwing is much better. I was hoping they would move to something like that by the last Nolan film.

Nolan's Batman films not only blow away Burton's Batman or any other Batman, imo it will be hard for any future Batman films to live up to Nolan's. Can't see them being topped.

Watching it right now. My favorite part is how batman cant turn his head in his suit, so he has to waddle and turn his entire body to look back and forth. It really makes him look intimidating and not retarded at all.

If he could pull off on screen the voice along with the mannerisms of his animated portrayal in Batman: The Animated Series it would be fantastic.

Nicholson's Joker was appropriate for the Tim Burton films, which weren't based off the Dark Knight comics.
